The monster turned toward her.

She panicked and raised her hands.
"I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO MAGIC—"

A burst of light exploded.
The monster flew backward.
Silence.
Kai stared.
"…You just blasted it."
Luna blinked.
"I DID?!"
The monster got up again.
Stronger.
Angrier.
"Okay," Luna said, sweating.
"I think I made it worse."
Kai sighed.
"Yeah. You definitely did."
They looked at each other.
Then at the monster.
"…Run?" Luna suggested.

They ran.
Screaming.
Arguing.

Still alive.
