Chapter 885 - Algol and Athena! An Extra Twelve Hours, Just For You

Chapter 885: Algol and Athena! An Extra Twelve Hours, Just For You

Shiroyasha rubbed her temples, a dull ache throbbing behind her eyes.

She was the Star Spirit of Algol. One of Little Garden's three great problem children. The former Earth Mother Goddess of Mesopotamia. A prominent member of the Yggdrasil Community during the chaotic era of the Second Sun Authority War.

Yet, whenever Shiroyasha pictured her, the image that surfaced was always the same: a haughty, insufferably proud little girl constantly spouting self-flattery, declaring herself a 'beautiful girl'and'everyone's idol.'

As a variable star, Algol possessed a terrifyingly high degree of demonic nature, a trait rooted deep in antiquity. Her origins traced back to ancient Mesopotamia, where she was widely worshipped as the Earth Mother Goddess. But time was a cruel sculptor. As astronomy developed and human understanding shifted, her divine attributes warped. She was slowly severed from the spiritual existence of the Earth itself.

Her true awakening as the Star Spirit Algol occurred when the Hebrew Old Testament branded her a primordial demon. Taking that degradation as an open invitation, she unleashed absolute chaos. She scattered demons and venomous beasts—snakes, spiders, crocodiles—across countless eras and worlds, brazenly declaring war on the Asura Gods and Buddhas of the three thousand worlds.

Even Shiroyasha, who was no stranger to eccentricity, found the woman's behavior utterly exaggerated.

It had taken an unfathomable number of years to finally seal her away. However, the Old Testament Divine Group, the very instigators of her rampage, flatly refused to take responsibility for keeping such a catastrophic problem child locked up.

After a series of convoluted detours, custody of the demon star fell to the Greek Divine Group.

Naturally, Algol despised the arrangement. She was intensely jealous of the radiant beauty and vibrant life of her assigned guardian, Athena. True to her nature, Algol spat venom at the goddess, outright calling her ugly to her face.

Athena, possessing zero tolerance for such disrespect, immediately declared war.

The ensuing clash between the two goddesses was fully expected to spiral into a massive, catastrophic conflict. Instead, it ended with shocking abruptness—Athena secured a decisive victory. Algol was forcibly integrated into the Greek Mythology worldview, a humiliating defeat that severely degraded her divine authority.

The final nail in the coffin? Perseus assassinated Algol while she was dead drunk.

That single, foolish act of reducing her to a permanently subservient state brought an unceremonious end to the war between the women. But because of it, Algol's relationship with Athena and the rest of the Greek Divine Group remained toxic beyond repair.

After all, the demon star was a narcissistic lunatic with a loose screw and a notoriously foul mouth.

Shiroyasha could already vividly imagine the sheer scale of the disaster waiting to happen. Once Algol became entangled with the current [No Name] and the original Arcadia, Athena and the Divine Group would inevitably interfere.

"Sigh, whatever. When the sky falls, the tall ones will hold it up anyway."

Shiroyasha exhaled a long, exhausted breath, choosing to completely wash her hands of the impending headache.

She certainly wasn't the tall one in this scenario. Ren was.

That shameless scumbag had already laid claim to You Kasukabe, Asuka Kudou, and Black Rabbit. There was absolutely no way he would sit back and let the Divine Group bully his women. Add Leticia Draculair and Canaria to the list of conquests he had already devoured, and his involvement was guaranteed. With those two whispering sweet nothings into his ear, he would undoubtedly lift a finger to intervene.

And considering Ren's current, unfathomable level of power—a state Shiroyasha couldn't even begin to fully comprehend—a mere flick of his finger would be enough to obliterate any obstacle.

"A pet beyond a two-digit number..."

Shiroyasha clicked her tongue, a sharp pang of envy twisting in her chest as she thought of Arceus, the supreme entity Ren had casually captured.

"Why doesn't such a good thing ever happen to me?"

The atmosphere in the expansive bedroom was thick, heavy with the lingering heat of intense, unapologetic intimacy. Tangled sheets lay strewn across the massive bed, bearing the evidence of a chaotic and thoroughly exhausting battle.

"Misty, congratulations on your dream coming true."

Misty lay draped across Ren's chest, her breathing still shallow and tired. She blinked, her brow furrowing in genuine confusion. She tilted her head, her damp orange hair clinging to her skin.

She didn't understand why Ren would bring up her dream right now.

Ren's lips curled into a wicked, satisfied smile. "Your dream is to be a top Water-type Pokemon trainer, right?"

"Mhm, mhm." Misty nodded innocently, her cheek rubbing against his collarbone.

"Well, I think no one in the whole world is as full of Water-type as you are right now."

Misty froze. She blinked again, her sleepy mind struggling to process the words.

She didn't get it.

A few feet away, Himeko lounged lazily against a pile of pillows, her crimson hair cascading over her bare shoulders. She rolled her eyes at Ren's shamelessness, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. Leaning over, she closed the distance and whispered a few explicit words directly into Misty's ear.

"Eh?!!!"

Misty's entire body jolted. A furious, boiling red flush exploded across her cheeks, spreading rapidly down her neck.

She slapped Ren's chest, her voice pitching up in acute embarrassment. "Ren-kun, don't... don't say strange things!"

That kind of 'Water-type fullness' had absolutely nothing to do with being a Pokemon trainer!

From the other side of the bed, March 7th poked her head out from beneath a thick blanket, her cheeks puffed out in a pout.

"Ren, you can't bully Misty like that!"

Ren shifted his gaze, his predatory eyes locking onto the energetic archer. "Is that so? Then can I bully you instead?"

"Ah... this..."

March 7th instantly shrank back, pulling the blanket up to her nose like a shield. Her bravado evaporated in a split second.

"Cough cough, on second thought, you should definitely keep bullying Misty."

"How can you say that!" Misty squawked, glaring at the traitorous girl.

The bed erupted into a flurry of lighthearted giggles and playful shoves, the tension of their earlier activities melting into warm, comfortable banter.

Resting her head gently on Ren's legs, Kikyo watched the chaotic scene unfold. Her long, dark hair draped elegantly over his thighs, and a faint, serene smile graced the corners of her lips.

"Kikyo, do you regret it? Giving yourself to me so easily?"

Ren looked down, his fingers gently threading through her silken black hair.

"No regrets."

Kikyo shook her head softly. She reached up, her cool, delicate fingers tracing the line of his jaw.

Her dark eyes softened, carrying a depth of emotion that words could barely contain. "When Ren-kun destroyed the Shikon Jewel, you personally shattered the heavy shackles of my cursed mission."

She paused, her thumb brushing his cheek. "I was lost for a time after losing my purpose. But it was also Ren-kun who gave me a new direction."

"Oh? Do you have a new goal now, Kikyo?"

Ren arched an eyebrow, genuinely curious. Was she planning to return to slaying demons?

He guessed wrong.

Kikyo's gaze locked firmly onto his, unwavering and intensely vulnerable. Her lips parted slightly.

"I want to spend the future with Ren-kun and everyone else. Not as a Shrine Maiden burdened by duty, but simply as Kikyo."

She had already fallen deeply in love with these chaotic, noisy days, surrounded by the laughter of the women who shared this man.

"So that's how it is."

Ren let out a long, dramatic sigh, shaking his head in mock sorrow. "Why do I feel like a terrible sinner who just effortlessly captures the hearts of innocent young girls?"

"Aren't you?!"

The entire bed shouted in perfect, unified indignation.

Every single woman present had been thoroughly captured, stripped of their defenses, and utterly devoured by him. Even Lusamine, a woman of incredibly special status to Lillie, had proven completely incapable of escaping his grasp.

March 7th stuck her tongue out, her confidence returning just a fraction. "Ren, Himeko told me that you're a complete and utter scumbag."

She raised a hand, fully intending to pinch his smug cheek, but her exhausted muscles betrayed her, lacking the strength to follow through.

Ren's eyebrow twitched upward.

A sudden, dangerous shift in the air made the women freeze. Instinct kicked in. One by one, they began to subtly inch away, retreating toward the edges of the massive bed.

By the time March 7th registered the sudden drop in temperature, it was far too late.

Ren's hand shot out, his grip wrapping securely around her wrist. With a single, effortless tug, he pulled her squeaking form flush against his chest.

"Wait, you're not going to..."

March 7th's eyes widened to the size of saucers, genuine panic flashing across her face.

She was going to die, right?

Her body was already pushed to its absolute limit. She would definitely die this time, right?!

Ren looked down at her, his lips curling into a smile that, to her terrified eyes, looked exactly like the devil himself.

"Heh heh, since March-chan is so convinced that I'm a scumbag, I suppose I have no choice but to act like a proper scumbag just for you."

He leaned in close, his breath ghosting over her ear. "Hmm, I was originally planning to let you all rest and go back just now. But you've successfully changed my mind."

March 7th swallowed hard, a nervous gulp echoing in the quiet room.

"Wh-what idea?"

Ren grinned, his eyes flashing with unapologetic hunger.

"An extra twelve hours. Just for you, March-chan."

"Eh!!!!"
