Chapter 845 - Memory Reproduction Magic, Rikka's Memories, Group Viewing?

Chapter 845: Memory Reproduction Magic, Rikka's Memories, Group Viewing?

Sunlight streamed through the towering windows of Ren's sprawling villa, casting a warm, golden glow over the polished marble floors.

"Satone, you've arrived," Sayuri greeted with a gentle, welcoming smile, stepping aside to let Satone Shichimiya and the rest of Rikka's energetic entourage inside.

"Mm-hmm! Thank you, Aunt Sayuri. We're here to find Rikka again!" Satone chirped, her signature magical girl scarf bouncing with her steps.

During Ren's recent absences, the girls had made a habit of gathering at his estate to spend time with Rikka. But they weren't just here to lounge around and eat snacks. They were utterly captivated by the dark grimoire, the physical manifestation of their wildest chunibyo fantasies now turned into absolute reality.

Every afternoon, they huddled together, carefully turning the ancient-looking pages, pooling their focus to decipher and master the genuine magic contained within. They had already managed to grasp a handful of minor spells, and the thrill of actual, tangible magic buzzing at their fingertips left them buzzing with relentless excitement. If they could, they would have moved into the villa permanently.

After all, the estate was a literal paradise. The surrounding environment was stunning, offering sweeping views of otherworldly scenery and endless entertainment. Above all else, it was an absolute safe zone. Here, they could unleash their newly acquired spells without the slightest fear of collateral damage or accidental injury.

As Shinka Nibutani had so dramatically declared just days prior, "This is the ultimate sanctuary, forged by the hands of the world's strongest mage!"

That strongest mage, of course, was Ren. To these girls, he had already ascended to an object of absolute reverence.

"Rikka, Rikka! Which magic are we conquering today?" Kumin Tsuyuri asked, leaning forward with her hands clasped, her usual sleepy demeanor entirely replaced by wide-eyed anticipation.

"Hmph, hmph! It absolutely has to be Thunderstorm!" Sanae Dekomori declared, her twin-tails practically vibrating with eagerness. "Once I master the roaring thunder, I shall truly become the ultimate Mjolnir Hammer Wielder! The persona will be complete, and I will transcend mere mortal delusions!"

Shinka Nibutani crossed her arms and let out a haughty, dismissive scoff. "Tsk. What's so great about a simple Thunderstorm? The absolute pinnacle of lightning magic is the Annihilation Universe Lightning."

She lifted her chin, a smug, deeply proud smirk playing on her lips. And she had every right to be proud. After all, she was the original architect of this dark scripture. Every single concept, every complex setting, every dramatic stroke of the pen had been birthed from her mind during the peak of her Mori Summer phase. No one in the world understood the mechanics of this grimoire better than she did.

"Let the Tyrant's Eye decide..." Rikka murmured, her fingers delicately tracing the edge of the dark scripture before flipping to a specific page. "It is this one. The Memory Reproduction Magic."

"Ah... so it isn't Thunderstorm after all..." Dekomori slumped, her twin-tails drooping pitifully. Just hearing the name, it didn't sound like the flashy, explosive, world-ending magic she craved.

"Oh? Oh! So it's this one!" Nibutani's eyes suddenly lit up, her voice pitching an octave higher with sudden enthusiasm.

Her sudden shift in demeanor immediately drew the group's attention. Satone tilted her head, her expression a mix of curiosity and confusion. "You seem awfully excited. Is this magic super powerful or something?"

"Hmph, hmph." Nibutani chuckled, a triumphant, almost mischievous smile spreading across her face. "This particular spell isn't about raw destructive power. It's about utility. It's incredibly fascinating." She tapped the page with a manicured fingernail. "The core setting allows the caster to extract the deepest, most deep memories from a target's mind and project them into the air, playing them out exactly like a movie."

"Huh? There's a weird magic like that?" Dekomori, previously deflated, suddenly perked up, her curiosity piqued. "What does it actually look like when it works?"

"Haha, we'll find out exactly what it looks like once we master it," Nibutani declared, rolling up her sleeves.

"Then let the study commence!"

The girls threw themselves into the task, completely abandoning any thought of food or rest. For hours, the room was filled with the quiet muttering of incantations, the faint hum of gathering mana, and the occasional frustrated sigh.

"It is complete! I did it!" Nibutani suddenly shouted, her voice shattering the concentrated silence.

Four pairs of eyes snapped toward her. Hovering just above Nibutani's outstretched palm was a complex, glowing purple magic circle, its geometric lines spinning with flawless precision. She had successfully constructed the spell matrix.

"Ah! Mori Summer, you mastered it first again!" Dekomori whined, stomping her foot in terrible frustration. Ever since they began their magical training, excluding Rikka, who naturally wielded her powers without needing to study, Nibutani was consistently the first to grasp every concept.

"Naturally. This is the dark scripture I wrote with my own two hands," Nibutani boasted, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "It would be a disgrace if I wasn't the fastest." She could recite the complex details, the exact sequence of steps, and the precise effects of every single spell without missing a single syllable.

"Then let's hurry up and test it out!" Kumin urged, practically bouncing on her heels, her patience entirely spent.

"But... who should we use as our target?" Satone asked, raising a very practical, sobering point. "A person's most deep memories are usually incredibly private. If we extract them and project them for everyone to see... who would actually be willing to do that?"

A heavy silence fell over the room. Dekomori and Kumin exchanged hesitant glances, suddenly unwilling to volunteer their own minds for public broadcast.

"I shall offer myself as the vessel!" Rikka suddenly announced, raising her hand high.

"Rikka... are you sure about this?" Satone asked, her brow furrowing with genuine concern. "What if your most deep memory is something painful? Something you don't want to relive in front of us? Wouldn't that be..."

"Do not fear. The Tyrant's Eye is now truly invincible!" Rikka declared, puffing out her chest. Having received genuine power from her sisters and from Ren, the lingering insecurities of her past had been completely washed away. She had absolutely nothing to fear anymore.

"Alright. Since you're offering yourself, Rikka, we'll use you as the catalyst..." Nibutani's expression shifted into a rare mask of absolute seriousness. "Listen to me. If anything bad starts playing, or if you feel uncomfortable, just say the word and I will sever the mana supply instantly."

"Mm-hm. I understand."

Taking a deep breath, Nibutani stepped back, raised her hand, and aimed the glowing purple matrix directly at Rikka.

The magic circle flared brilliantly, expanding rapidly until a massive, ethereal ring hovered in the center of the room. The empty space within the ring began to flicker and warp, buzzing with static like an old television desperately searching for a signal.

A few seconds later, the static cleared, and crisp audio filtered into the room.

"Ren... I... I'm ready..."

"There it is! It's working!" Dekomori squealed, pointing excitedly at the shifting colors forming in the center of the projection.

However, the blood instantly drained from Rikka's face. Her visible eye widened in absolute horror.

That first sentence. She recognized it immediately. It was burned into her soul. That was the exact phrase she had whispered during the most overwhelming, intensely happy moment of her life, the night she had given everything, body and soul, to Ren.

Her mouth opened to scream for Nibutani to stop the spell, but her vocal cords froze.

It was too late. The image crystallized in perfect, high-definition clarity.

"Rikka, get ready."

"Hiss... ooh!!!"

The projected scene was bathed in warm, intimate, dim lighting. Beautiful? Wild? Exaggerated? Snow-white skin flushed with heat?

The four spectating girls were completely paralyzed, utterly incapable of processing the sheer intensity of the scene unfolding before them. Dekomori let out a strangled, high-pitched shriek, slapping both hands over her face, though her fingers were spread wide open.

The brains of all four girls were practically short-circuiting, trembling under the weight of the visual overload.

What was that?!

How did it even fit in there?!

What in the world was happening to Rikka?!

A million scandalous questions exploded in their minds simultaneously, leaving them flushed red and completely speechless.

And Rikka? She simply stood there, her head bowed so low her chin touched her chest, her face burning with a heat that rivaled a volcanic eruption.

Yet, despite the crushing embarrassment, she couldn't deny the truth of the magic. This truly was her most deep, most important memory.

Under Ren's patient, gentle guidance, she had finally come to terms with the agonizing grief of her father's death. Through his intervention, the bitter conflict with her older sister had been peacefully resolved. Even the mocking stigma of her chunibyo delusions had been erased, replaced by the genuine, impressive power he had gifted her.

She no longer had to hide behind a fabricated persona to protect her fragile heart. She possessed the real Tyrant's Eye.

Ren had saved her. He had guided her heart, nurtured her soul, and claimed her body with a fierce, protective love. The moment she had surrendered her innocence to him was, without a single doubt, the most beautiful, unforgettable milestone of her entire existence.

And now...

That sacred, breathtakingly intimate milestone was currently broadcasting in full, uncensored glory right in the middle of the living room, courtesy of Shinka Nibutani's flawless Memory Reproduction Magic.
