Theon's eyes widened. "Nikos." His gaze flickered to Anthea, then back. "I didn't expect to see you here."
Anthea looked between them, her brow furrowing. "You two know each other?"
Nikos's expression shifted, becoming carefully neutral. "Theon is the Beta of Nightwalker Pack."
Theon extended his hand toward Anthea, his grip firm but brief. "It's nice to meet you. You must be Anthea."
"I am." She studied him with open curiosity. "You're the Beta? Are you perhaps…related to Ares?"
Nikos looked at his daughter. Confused.
Theon nodded. "Yes, he is my nephew."
"Oh! That's great. Ares is a good friend of my boyfriend."
"I see." Theon nodded.
Anthea's gaze lingered on him a moment longer. She glanced at her father. "I should go find a seat for us."
Nikos nodded. "I'll be there shortly."
Anthea walked away, her footsteps fading down the corridor. The moment she was out of earshot, Nikos turned to Theon, his expression shifting.
