Vael remembered little things she had told him. He had done the things she mentioned again. He had listened.
She said she liked designing; he created the study. She said she liked Karaoke; he had turned a storeroom into a Karaoke and cinema.
"You said he had the study prepared," Vessara said slowly. "And the karaoke room. And my suite—you just said my suite was prepared according to his wishes."
"Yes, my lady," Viktor affirmed. "Everything."
She swallowed hard. Even though Vael appeared not to care and somewhat closed off, he constantly paid attention.
"The Alpha is very thorough, my lady. When he commits to something, he commits fully." Viktor said.
When he commits, he commits fully. She repeated internally. Over and over again. Until she made sense of it. Mixed feelings.
But Vael wasn't committed to her. He was committing to an arrangement. A political alliance. A trade agreement wrapped in a wedding dress.
So why had he done this?
