"Finally! You understand what I have been trying to tell you! Goodness! You had to let Anthea spell it out to you." Her wolf scolded her.
Realization dawned on Vessara like cold water being poured over her head.
"You are right," Vessara admitted. Her voice was small.
Anthea squeezed her hand. Then she let go. "I understand how you must be feeling. It was your first time. That is not nothing. But that feeling will be out of the window in no time if you try to meet someone new."
Vessara raised her eyebrows.
"I am not telling you to turn into a one-night stand queen," Anthea said quickly. "But you should try to go on proper dates. Real dates. And if you are willing, that guy I met at the frat party invited me to a birthday party this weekend—a picnic. There will be lots of guys to meet. Normal guys. Guys who might actually call the next day."
Vessara bit down on her lower lip. She thought about her schedule. She thought about her boss.
