CeCe reacted before anybody else could speak.
"He's innocent!" Her voice echoed across the burning territory immediately as she rushed toward Soraya, who had just steadied herself.
CeCe opened her mouth, paused, then frowned in frustration because honestly… she didn't even know how to explain it herself.
Emily quickly stepped forward nervously. "It's just… something feels wrong."
Everyone looked at her.
Emily swallowed and glanced toward the direction. "You better don't let dad hear you "
CeCe looked toward the burning forest again, but the moment her eyes shifted toward Zenobius, she froze. His orange eyes had turned red.
Burning red.
Even his hands looked terrifying, like heated metal fresh from a furnace. The air around him distorted violently from pure heat alone. The ground beneath his feet had already melted in some places.
CeCe felt chills immediately.
Soraya gasped softly. That reaction alone terrified everybody more than the fire itself.
