CeCe's entire body froze the moment Emily swallowed the blood.
For one terrifying second, the world itself seemed to stop moving.
"Emily?" CeCe grabbed her shoulders immediately. Didn't know whether to kick her ass of console her "Are you crazy?!"
Emily coughed violently while holding her throat. "That tastes disgusting!"
"The taste?.....you....!" CeCe almost screamed. "You are talking about taste at this moment?!"
Emily bent over and coughed again before looking up with watery eyes. "Why does it taste like burnt metal and expired medicine?!"
CeCe looked like she was about to faint from stress. "My gosh… if something happens to you, your mother will kill me."
Emily blinked. "My mother?"
"Okay, fake mother." CeCe corrected herself nervously. "Still scary!"
Emily suddenly burst into laughter.
CeCe could not even laugh with her. Instead, she held Emily's face with both hands while checking her eyes dramatically. "Can you see anything?"
