The clusters fell naturally into four regions. North, south, east, west. Each region with its own concentration of cases, its own Church branch infrastructure, its own specific challenges.

The northern cluster was the smallest. Eleven cases. Mostly monitoring suppression rather than full containment — the older pre-System text confirmed that the northern Church branches had historically used lighter suppression architectures, the specific geography of the northern reaches making the heavy infrastructure more difficult to maintain.

Lira took north. Her sixty-three kilometer field reach covering the cluster's full geographic spread, her thirty-one years of field experience reading the light suppression architectures the way a physician reads familiar symptoms.
