"I was never less of a man," he added, and I rolled my eyes.
"Of course you weren't," I said, and Ryker moved toward me.
"I'll do that. Go enjoy the festival," he said, and I paused.
I stared around, gazing at each of their faces before looking back at Azrael.
"Don't worry, it's okay," Liora spoke softly. "Go now, they will take care of him," she added, and I nodded gently.
I gave the bowl to Ryker, and Azrael scoffed. "Abandoning me already," he spat, and I laughed silently.
I moved closer to him and gently planted a soft kiss against his forehead. "Get well soon." He looked away and slapped my hand aside.
"Go enjoy the festival," he muttered, but at least he sounded less feral and angry now.
I walked out together with Bibi and Liora.
"What else is there to enjoy? I'm already worried, and I don't think I'll be able to have fun," I admitted, and Liora's hand gently rested on my shoulder.
