Once their laughter faded, Zachary gently brushed his thumb across the back of her hand.
"There's no need to rush anything," he said more seriously. "We have plenty of time. We'll wait until your hand heals completely."
Sienna looked into his eyes and saw nothing but patience and affection.
She nodded. "Okay."
Then, with a mischievous smile, she tugged gently on his hand. "Come with me."
He allowed her to lead him toward the bathroom, though his expression gradually became cautious.
When they reached the doorway, he narrowed his eyes at her suspiciously.
"Mrs. Sterling," he said, trying to sound stern despite the smile tugging at his lips, "don't tell me you're trying to seduce your husband."
Sienna looked at him innocently. "I'm doing no such thing."
"Really?"
"Really."
She lifted her injured hand as evidence.
"I genuinely need your help. Dr. Scott specifically told me not to let the bandage get wet, and if I ignore his instructions, he'll probably scold both of us."
