A hurried footsteps echoed through the corridor.
Logan looked up and was startled to see Scott Anderson striding toward him. He was still wearing his white coat and looked slightly out of breath, as though he had come straight from another part of the hospital without stopping.
"Doctor Scott, are you still here? I thought you were home..." Logan asked as he approached him.
"Yes," Scott replied. "I just finished a major surgery."
Although he sounded tired, his attention was already focused on the emergency room ahead.
"So, who's the patient?" Scott asked as he continued walking.
"My master's wife."
Almost immediately, Scott's steps faltered. He stopped abruptly and turned to stare at Logan. Genuine shock spread across his face as he tried to process what he had just heard.
"Did you just say your master's wife?" he asked. "Since when did Zach get married?"
