Jimmy had no intention of stopping. He continued to vent his frustration with his eldest brother.
"She's spent years cleaning up your mess. When you needed money, she helped. When people came looking for you, she handled them. When you were near death from your illness, she paid the medical bill. Every cent of it!"
But then—
He paused, took a long, deep sigh, then added, "And what did she get in return?"
Jacob hated this conversation because, deep down, he already knew the answer: nothing.
"Right... Right..." Jenny immediately joined in. Fresh tears welled in her eyes. "Now, my poor niece Sienna ran away from us. She cut ties with us completely."
Jimmy smiled coldly. "Jenny, come on, don't pretend you've forgotten. You were part of Jacob's plan to frame him!"
Jacob's expression darkened at the mention of Sienna's name. He knew he was in the wrong, but how could a daughter sever her bond with her father?
