Chapter 6 - Direction

Liv's POV

great.

now I'm stuck with not only studying but also working?!

This is crazy.

That's when someone suddenly flicked my forehead.

"Liv!"

It was Theo.

Gosh give me some peace

"Are you even in this world?"

He asked, annoyed.

"Tch sorry"

"This office isn't a place to daydream. You're here to work"

He said scolding me. By the time, his friends were before us.

"You have responsibilities. You should follow the orders of the president, aka me-"

"Tch. Mr.President, could you please stop overreacting? I will complete my work no matter what. It's not your job to put all the work on me. You should do some too."

I said. He froze in anger.

He stared at me for a second, clearly not expecting that response.

The room went quiet.

His friends behind him exchanged looks, trying not to laugh.

"Oh?" Theo finally spoke, taking a step closer.

"So you think I don't do my job?"

I leaned back slightly in my chair, crossing my arms.

"I didn't say that. I just said don't dump everything on me."

One of his friends let out a quiet chuckle.

Theo shot him a glare before turning back to me. His expression changed...less angry, more… amused?

"Interesting," he muttered.

"Interesting?" I repeated, raising an eyebrow.

"Most people don't talk to me like that."

I shrugged.

"Maybe they should."

That earned a louder reaction from his friends this time. One of them even clapped slowly, clearly entertained.

"Yo, she's got guts," another one whispered.

Theo ignored them, but I could see the slight smirk forming on his face.

"Fine," he said after a pause.

"If you're so confident, prove it."

"Excuse me?"

"You handle today's reports. Alone."

I narrowed my eyes.

"Done."

"Don't come crying when you mess it up," he added casually.

I scoffed.

"You wish."

There was a moment of silence before he turned away, pretending to go back to work. But I noticed it...his friends gathering closer to him, whispering among themselves.

They kept glancing at me.

That weird feeling crept in again.

Why were they looking at me like that?

I ignored it and focused on my work, flipping through the files.

But I could still feel it.

Their eyes.

Their whispers.

Like something was already being planned.
