Chapter 29 - Welcome to Hogwarts

A familiar melody began to play. On the screen, a massive shield-shaped logo with the letters "WB" flew into the center. Just like in Monster Hunter, the English characters were automatically translated into the Common Tongue of this world.

"Warner Bros? Who is that?"

"Never heard of them. Though the shape of that crest looks a bit like the shield emblem of Stormwind..."

Hearing Zaldimar and Jyssetta discussing, Wayne explained, "That's the producer of the movie. You can understand it as them being the ones who paid to have the film made."

However, the group only grew more confused, as they had no idea what a "movie" even was.

Raymond listened and had a sudden realization. He figured that the names appearing at the start must be the creators of these miraculous worlds. He committed the name "Warner Bros" to memory, along with "Capcom" from the start of Monster Hunter. He secretly vowed that he must find these three people one day.

Next, the group truly grasped the meaning of "immersive."

In an instant, they were standing in a small alley called "Privet Drive." Dim streetlights and silent surroundings signaled that it was late at night. Unlike the way Wayne had watched movies in his previous life, they were actually standing right there in the scene.

Just as they were adjusting, an elder appeared. He wore glasses, a red robe, a wizard's hood, and had a white beard that reached his waist. Holding a strange small device, he sucked the light from the streetlamps one by one, making the already dark street even gloomier.

Zaldimar's mouth hung open. He couldn't help but exclaim in shock, "An... Antonidas?!"

The Antonidas he spoke of was once the actual leader of Dalaran, the magical kingdom of Azeroth. He was the Grand Magus of the Kirin Tor, meaning he had been one of the most powerful archmages on the planet. Though he had passed away, he was still revered by all mages.

Jyssetta and Lyria quickly hushed Zaldimar, trying to keep him quiet in the silent environment so the white-bearded elder wouldn't hear him.

Wayne told them that talking while watching a movie wouldn't affect the people inside the film; it only affected the other viewers. He also informed them that the elder wasn't Antonidas—though he did look quite a bit like the statues of him.

The group soon learned the truth. A cat was seen through by the elder and immediately shed its magical disguise, transforming back into Professor McGonagall—an elderly woman.

Just then, a giant named Hagrid descended from the sky on a flying motorcycle. He met with Dumbledore and McGonagall, drawing another round of gasps from Raymond's group.

Dumbledore took a swaddle from Hagrid's arms; inside was a sleeping infant.

From their conversation, it was revealed that this baby carried some special destiny. After repeated confirmations, the three prepared to leave him with a "Muggle" family at No. 4 Privet Drive. The mistress of the house was the baby's aunt.

However, this wasn't a cold-hearted abandonment. According to Dumbledore, it was to keep him away from magic and trouble until he truly grew up.

"Muggle? What's a Muggle?" the four couldn't help but ask, turning their gaze toward Wayne, who was in the movie world with them.

Wayne replied, "It's just an ordinary person who can't use magic."

Zaldimar, Jyssetta, and Raymond simultaneously turned their gaze toward Lyria, the warrior. Lyria fell into thought for a moment before saying, "Fine, fine I'm a muggle."

The plot continued. In the final scene of this segment, the group saw the infant's face. As he slept, there was a scar shaped like a lightning bolt on his forehead. Meanwhile, Dumbledore offered him his blessings.

Seeing this scene, Wayne felt a wave of nostalgia. Only he knew that this was the starting point of the entire long story of Harry Potter.

Since they were viewing it through the virtual reality of the movie world, the story progressed through the scenes of the film. However, because they were immersed, they could see and experience many angles and details that weren't visible in the original movie. For instance, with Hagrid's arrival on the flying motorcycle, they heard the sound before seeing the sight. Dumbledore also walked for a short distance after taking the swaddle before reaching the doorstep of No. 4 Privet Drive. Consequently, the movie took much longer to finish than the original version.

But because of this, the audience's sense of substitution and immersion was several times stronger.

The Dursleys treated their biological son with total indulgence, but treated Harry like a servant, making him wash clothes and cook. They made him sleep in a cupboard under the stairs and frequently threatened to withhold food.

The next time magical power appeared in the plot was on Dudley's birthday. While the family was visiting the reptile house at the zoo, Harry discovered he could actually talk to a python. To Harry, who had never studied magic, it seemed like a miraculous innate ability.

The three spellcasters began to discuss again.

Jyssetta: "Even for you mages, turning yourself into a cat shouldn't be an easy task, right?"

Zaldimar confirmed, "Indeed. Especially with Dalaran closed off now, the spellbooks there are also sealed. Basic mages can only learn simple Polymorph: Sheep."

Raymond: "What about communicating with animals?"

Zaldimar: "Oh heavens, that's not something a mage can master. Perhaps you should find a Druid and try asking him."

The three gave him a sidelong glance, not wanting to communicate with this layman of the arcane. They said in unison, "Shut up, Muggle."

Not long after the pampered Dudley's birthday, Harry's own birthday arrived. On that day, he received a letter from Hogwarts, but his uncle Vernon confiscated it, refusing to let Harry open it.

Yet no one expected that more and more owls would fly to No. 4 Privet Drive with letters, surrounding the house. Even as Uncle Vernon continued to ban Harry from receiving them, the letters seemed to have a mind of their own, flying directly into the house through the fireplace and door cracks until they were piled everywhere.

Harry grabbed a letter and tried to hide in his cupboard to read it, but Uncle Vernon held him back firmly. Faced with the unstoppable letters, he and Aunt Petunia decided to move, shouting about "getting away from those people."

To escape the Hogwarts letters, they went as far as moving to a shack on a sea island.

But on the day of Harry's 11th birthday, the giant Hagrid arrived. He remained unmoved by Uncle Vernon's shotgun threat and presented Harry with a handmade cake.

After mocking the conservative and difficult aunt and her family, Hagrid finally led Harry away from the home filled with bad memories, embarking on a journey to learn magic.
