Chapter 3:
"Here I am in front of the demon royal family to test my abilities and I've never been more scared than I am now." Thinks Souma as he is about to go on the first test.
"Alright Souma the first test is to test your combat abilities without magic" says Lucille
"Ok I'm ready to start when you say the word I'm at your command" says Souma impulsively. The king, impressed with Soumas' rash fullness, shakes his head toward his daughter.
"All right Souma you go through five out of 10 of the strongest generals in the demon king's army don't let me down." Says Lucille who is looking more and more amused.
"Five out of 10 of the strongest Demon Kings generals She didn't even say what order they were in. But whatever with Yuji's unnatural cursed energy output plus his body's natural superhuman-like strength, speed etc.. and all of his mastered combat techniques, I can probably make it through the first round." Souma thinks in his mind.
"Greetings My name is Thracian and I'm the 10th strongest general in his majesty's army. I will not go easy on you."
"I'd be offended if you did because it wouldn't be a valid victory." Souma replies cockily.
Thracian goes straight for Souma with outlandish speed but Souma narrowly dodges and matches Thracian's speed and punches Thracian in the stomach and sends him flying through four trees.
All the royal officials stare at Souma shocked and petrified at the quick defeat of Thracian, and Lucille stares at her new slave and blushes lightly at the fact he beat her uncle with one punch. One royal official stands up and says "Impossible there's no way he had to have used magic or something because there is no way Thracian would fall to one punch."
"Silence Noah, I watched with my own two eyes this boy did not use any magic he's just in really impeccable shape." Says the King.
Souma is shocked at his own power and blushes at the way Lucille is staring at him before she looks away all embarrassed.
"Alright who's next" Souma says confidently and the King stands up and says "You won't be fighting any more of my generals, instead you will fight against me."
Everyone looks at the king with awe and shock at this completely random unthinkable moment.
Souma gulps think if he says no he'll die but if he says yes he'll die seeing a Kobayashi Maru scenario, just gives in and says "Yer majesty, I accept your request but it would be unfair if I couldn't use magic in this battle so I ask you may we both use magic and go all out with no consequence"
The king looks at Souma with intrigue and does the unthinkable "Young Souma, I think that's a great Idea but it's no fun if there's no consequence so I'm going to declare a reward for who wins. If I win you will swear your loyalty to the demon king's army and become my daughter's knight and protector and become a half demon and you will never be able to get out of this contract. But if you win then I'll not only abdicate the throne to you but I'll also give you Lucille's hand in marriage. What do you think of these conditions?"
Everyone looks at the king including Lucille with the look of disbelief in their eyes and starts murmuring that he must've gone senile and only Lucille speaks up and says "I'll support these conditions, what say you Mr. Tatsuya?"
Souma looks around at everyone not believing the words he just heard and thinks to himself "Whaaaaaaat!!!! I hadn't anticipated this if I lose than my purpose I was sent here for I'm already gonna do but if I win I'll become king think think what do I do" Souma completely in shock just says "Fuck it why not, whats there to lose." and stares the King directly in the eyes.
The match that'll decide the fate of the demon kingdom is now being shown across the kingdom from an alternate dimension where they can use their full power to no avail.
