Chapter 34 - The Toxic Sapphire

The echo of the gunshot lingered in the air, louder than the torrential rain. As Arisa's first shot struck its mark, a heavy silence fell over the plateau. Abir watched her, mesmerized. In her eyes, he saw a reflection of his own dark soul. The girl who once trembled at shadows was now commanding them.

"I knew you had fire in your veins, Arisa," Abir said with a grim, proud smile. "But I didn't expect it to ignite into a wildfire so soon."

Arisa remained silent. She stepped forward, the revolver steady in her hand. Aryan's remaining men stood paralyzed, unable to process how the fragile girl they knew had turned so lethal. Her eyes, once soft as the sea, were now burning with the intensity of molten lava.

"Tell your boss," Arisa shouted over the wind, "the only path off this mountain belongs to Abir and me. If anyone takes a single step forward, the next bullet won't hit a leg—it will find your skull."

Suddenly, a drone hovered above them, broadcasting Aryan's voice. It cut through the storm like a serrated blade.

"Bravo, Arisa!" Aryan laughed through the speakers. "My little sister has become quite the player. But do you realize the man you're standing with is a volcano? He won't give you love; he will burn you to ashes. Come back before it's too late!"

"At least he didn't stab me in the back while pretending to love me, Aryan," Arisa retorted. "You tried to use me as a shield for your own greed. From today, our blood tie is washed away by this rain. You are no longer my brother; you are my greatest curse."

With a sudden movement, she ripped the sapphire necklace from her neck. The gem glowed like a cold flame in her palm before she hurled it into the abyss below with pure hatred.

"That was the last piece of your deception. From now on, I am no longer a sister. I am only Abir's shadow."

Abir swept her onto the **H2R**. The engine's roar shattered the mountain's silence, sounding a declaration of war. He whispered into her ear, "Now we go to our new empire, Arisa. Where the law listens to us, not the other way around. Get ready, for the world is about to witness the wrath of Abir Khan and his Queen."

As the bike shot down the mountain slope like a black bolt of lightning, the chase began once more. But Abir didn't look back. For the first time, he wasn't fighting alone; his Villainess was by his side.
