The skill of Trajectory Eyes kept screaming in my head.

The warnings were blurring in my vision, creating an agonizing pain in my eye-sockets. My focus was already beginning to waver.
Right before I passed out entirely, I managed to roll out the the way just in time to avoid the attack meant to cleave off my face.

But Verdric had expected my maneuver
He altered the angle of his attack effortlessly and sent the tip of his blade right towards my head.

I saw all of this happening, but my body was still recovering from the previous maneuver. My Trajectory Eyes skill allowed me to see what was going to happen, but it could not force my muscles to move faster than their natural speed.
I threw myself backwards as hard as I could and the tip of Verdric's blade shot past my head.
Verdric landed on his feet and turned to face me, showing no emotion at all.
My head was pounding and the warnings from my Trajectory Eyes were already beginning to disappear, leaving only a few blue trails embedded in my vision. Even with all the time in the world, even with the help of my Trajectory Eyes, I still could not close the distance between us.
"Let's finish this"
Verdric's voice was different now, it sounded much colder than before.
"What do you mean...?" I found myself asking.
That was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.

That was all the time I had before the next attack.
The entire crowd was silent as they witnessed a bolt of lightning manifest in the air where Verdric had been standing.

"Ughjk-?!" I began to say right before the magic shield the professor had implanted in all of our bodies was shattered, Blood erupting from my mouth.
"Cough!"
It was strange, he did not seem to have hit me directly
But somehow he had injured the mana pathway I was using.
He severed the connection..to my core...?!
My body gave up as I fell to the ground..
The last thing I hear as my conscious begun to fade.
"Verdric wins!"
