Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:The dividing line

The following week, the Adeleke living room was a battlefield of suitcases and maps. The parents watched their four children with a mix of pride and anxiety.

"Are you sure about this, Dad?" Tade asked as they loaded the car for Bam-Bam Village. "You've really secured a meeting with Ajibogu himself?".

His father nodded, though his expression was grave. "I have. He is the wealthiest man in the region, but remember, Tade—money that loud usually has a lot of secrets. You and Oliver stay close to his assistants. Don't go wandering off into the factory zones alone".

On the other side of the driveway, their mother was holding Shade and Temi's hands. "Owu Village is... different," she whispered. "There is no 'big money' there, only 'big truth.' "We're ready, Mom," Shade insisted, though she gripped her bag tighter. "We've even designed our own living space since there are no hotels there. We're going to build our own 'New Leaf' from the ground up".

"No network, no TikTok, no distractions," Temi added, looking at her phone one last time before the signal began to fade. "Just the mystery."

As the two cars pulled out—one heading toward the glittering gates of Bam-Bam and the other toward the shadowed forests of Owu—the siblings shared a final, defiant look through the windows. The excursion had begun.
