Chapter 153 - Chapter 153

"Urahara, open the door! If you've got the guts to sell fake goods, why don't you have the guts to come out and confront me?"

Rukia slammed hard on the door of the Urahara Shop while shouting at the top of her lungs.

Inside, Jinta was crouched in the corner, trembling.

He had seen Rukia storming over from far away, looking murderous.

He did not even need to think to know that something had gone wrong with the Soul Candy he had sold her.

"Urahara, open this door! If you don't, I'll tear down your storefront! You black-hearted, crooked merchant!"

Rukia continued pounding on the door like a madwoman, looking as though she would not stop until Urahara came out and gave her an explanation.

Kisuke Urahara, who had been hiding in his room feeling depressed because Yoruichi still had not returned, finally heard the knocking and hurried out to see what was happening.

He first looked suspiciously at Jinta crouching in the corner, then slowly moved toward the door, wanting to hear what was going on outside.

After all, he had been too far away earlier and had not clearly heard what Rukia was shouting.

When Rukia saw that Urahara still refused to answer, she became even more certain of her guess. She raised her foot and kicked the door hard.

With a loud crash, the door of the Urahara Shop was kicked straight off its hinges, taking Kisuke Urahara with it and smashing him heavily onto the floor.

Pinned under the door panel, Urahara stared blankly at the scene, feeling utterly miserable.

What's going on?

Someone had actually come to wreck his shop?

Rukia seized the chance to rush inside, pointed at Urahara's nose, and cursed him, "Good, you crooked merchant! You actually dared sell me fake Soul Candy, and at such a high price too! Hand over the real thing right now, or I'm not letting this go!"

Urahara climbed back up and looked at Rukia with an innocent expression, secretly muttering in his heart, 'How did I sell fake goods?'

He decided to calm Rukia down first, so he smiled apologetically and said, "Kuchiki-san, please don't be angry. Listen to my explanation first. The Soul Candy here is absolutely genuine. Perhaps you used it incorrectly, or maybe some special situation occurred. How about this? I'll give you some more Soul Candy for free, and I guarantee there won't be any problem this time."

Hearing this, Rukia's expression eased slightly, but she still asked with suspicion, "Are you telling the truth? You're not lying to me again, are you?"

Urahara quickly waved his hand.

"Of course it's true. I guarantee it with my character."

Seeing that Rukia had calmed down a little, Urahara smiled and slowly moved closer.

However, what he had not expected was that Rukia would suddenly launch a kick straight at him.

Caught completely off guard, Urahara was kicked down again and sprawled miserably across the floor.

"Kisuke Urahara, after Ichigo took your Soul Candy, his body ran off for no reason! And you still dare say it was genuine? Do you think I'm an idiot?"

Rukia angrily questioned Urahara, clearly having lost her patience.

She planted her hands on her hips and glared at him, fire burning in her eyes.

"What? How is that possible? My Soul Candy would absolutely never cause something like that."

Kisuke Urahara's face was filled with shock and confusion. He did not believe there could be anything wrong with his Soul Candy.

His eyes widened, and he shook his head, unable to accept Rukia's accusation.

"What's with that expression? Are you saying I'm being unreasonable?"

Seeing Urahara look wronged only made Rukia even angrier.

Her voice grew sharp as she snapped, "Don't think I don't know all the tricks you merchants use. Are you trying to shirk responsibility? Let me tell you, no chance!"

Rukia was trembling with anger.

She looked around for something to vent on, and her gaze suddenly landed on Jinta crouching in the corner.

She pointed at him and shouted, "It was that brat! He sold me the Soul Candy and said it was some kind of special product. He even charged me triple the price! If you don't explain this clearly today, I'm tearing your shop apart!"

Urahara's heart jolted, though his expression remained calm.

He looked at Rukia, who seemed completely confident and had clear evidence, then looked at Jinta, who was crouching on the ground and trembling.

Suspicion immediately rose in his heart.

'Looks like there really is something wrong here.'

"Jinta, what exactly did you sell to Kuchiki-san?"

Kisuke Urahara glared at Jinta with wide eyes, looking fierce.

Jinta trembled all over and stammered, "I… I don't know, Shopkeeper. I just did what you told me to do!"

As he spoke, he scrambled into the storeroom and began frantically searching for the box that had held the Soul Candy he sold Rukia earlier.

Urahara watched Jinta's panicked back and inwardly groaned.

'This little idiot. Now we're in trouble.'

After rummaging around for a while, Jinta shakily carried out the box that had contained the Soul Candy and handed it to Kisuke Urahara.

Urahara only needed one glance to notice the problem.

This box was clearly used to store defective Soul Candy. It was not special Soul Candy at all.

He glared at Jinta again.

"Kuchiki-san, I understand what happened now. This was a mistake on our shop's part. We sold you defective Soul Candy. I'll handle the after-sales service immediately."

After saying that, he called Tessai Tsukabishi, who was still cleaning, and prepared to go with Rukia to find Ichigo's runaway body.

...

On Ichigo's side, he was currently running all over the school, trying to catch his own body.

He had never imagined that his body could run so damn well. It had already circled the school several times.

And he did not dare attack carelessly either.

After all, that was his own body. If he injured it, things would become troublesome.

He did not want to end up missing an arm or a leg in the future.

"Stop! Stop right there!"

Ichigo gasped as he shouted at his still-running body, but the other party seemed not to hear him at all and continued fleeing with all its might.

Finally, Ichigo was so exhausted that he collapsed onto the ground, unable to move another step.

Just then, Rukia finally arrived with Kisuke Urahara and Tessai Tsukabishi.

The fleeing body panicked the moment it saw Urahara and ran even faster.

"Bakudō #4: Hainawa."

Tessai quickly cast Kidō, using a rope of spiritual energy to tightly bind the body that was trying to keep running.

"Phew. We finally caught it."

Seeing this, Ichigo also let out a breath of relief.

Kisuke Urahara quickly walked over and pressed his cane against Ichigo's body's forehead.

Just like that, he removed the Soul Candy.

As the Soul Candy was taken out, Ichigo's body lost the ability to move and fell stiffly to the ground.

"Kuchiki-san, I'm truly sorry. This Soul Candy was a defective product I researched in the past. It possesses a certain level of consciousness and has caused you trouble. I'll take it back and destroy it immediately."

After finishing all of that, Kisuke Urahara prepared to leave.

But after hearing Urahara's words, Ichigo's saintly heart acted up.

"Wait, Urahara-san. You're saying this Soul Candy has consciousness?"

"Yes. A modified soul was mixed into it, so it has consciousness."

Urahara looked at Ichigo strangely.

"When you say you're going to destroy it, doesn't that mean you're going to erase its existence?" Ichigo confirmed again.

"That's right. It was originally just a defective product."

Ichigo fell silent for a moment.

"Urahara-san, we'll take this Soul Candy."

"You're sure?"

Kisuke Urahara was a little baffled.

He had already said it was defective, and they still wanted it?

"I'm sure. Since it has consciousness, that means it's alive. Killing it with one casual sentence about destroying it is too cruel. I don't want to see something like that happen. So we'll take this Soul Candy."

Ichigo answered with a serious expression.

"Very well. Since you insist, I'll leave this Soul Candy for you to handle."

Then Kisuke Urahara turned to Rukia.

"Kuchiki-san, I'm truly sorry for ruining your shopping experience this time. In the future, whenever you come to the Urahara Shop to buy something, I can give you a twenty percent discount."

Rukia had no real objection.

Urahara had even given her a discount, which was already quite good.

"Fine. Then we'll consider this matter settled."

"In that case, Tessai and I will return to the shop first."

Urahara and Tessai quickly left.

Rukia called after them from behind.

"Take care, I won't see you off!"
