Shiori's pov
I'd been coming over to the demon palace more often, didn't even need a carriage still I could teleport their.
Jasmine seemed lighter somehow, maybe because her brother's condition has improved.
Or maybe because he isn't bitting people anymore. I deadpanned as my fingers traced the faded bite marks on my neck. Thanks to these I had to wear a turtleneck around the beast princes, knowing if they saw, Chris would make a seen.
"Welcome!" Jasmine squealed as I arrived at the palace.
"Hey jasmine, how's your brother?" I asked while mochi waved for acknowledgment.
"He's fine, hasn't experienced any episides for a few weeks now. He's just resting in his room as a precaution..." She explained
"I see..." I nodded processing the information.
I'd like to study the curse, in case it's related to the phantom crisis happening but thats a bit invasive. I pouted internally
We walked into her room as usual but there wasn't any novels laid out.
"Where are the books?" I quiered
"I was thinking of doing something different today..." She said facing her back to me shyly
"Really like what?" I asked interested.
"Dress up!" She squealed.
There was a pause
"What?" I blinked
"You see, I've always had an urge to want to play dress up as different characters, but it feels so awkward when I do it alone.... Is it too weird..?" She blushes embarrassed
I walked up to her. "Where have you been all my life?!" I squealed in excitement. Catching her off guard.
"Huh? You mean you don't mind it?"
"Of course not, I'm totally into that!" I grinned
I was a total otaku after all. Cosplaying isn't far from my interests.
"Alright then, let's begin" she smiled.
She opened a separate room which was actually a walk in closet containing various outfits of all ranges, regardless of sex or gender.
She took out fairy cosplay for us to try on. Mine was silver while hers was golden. Both strapless and had fake glittery wings.
"You look incredible..." She gushed as wer both stared at the mirror.
"So do you..." I awed
As long as no one see us like this I'm more tht happy to express myself
"Oh wait..." I took out my phone posed with her.
"What's that?"
"Oh this, it's a magic tool only I can use. We can use it to take photo instantly" I replied
"Really, like an instant painting.."
"Exactly!" We posed for the camera. Trying on new outfits eagerly. We did elves, pirates, even flowers. Mochi even joined in as jasmine had made custom outfis for him since the last time I visited. Each time I'd print the pictures onto the large canvas.
As a few hours had past, jasmine saton her bed admiring the photos like they were something precious.
"I still have time before I have to go, anything else you want to try?" I asked
"Just one more.." she leapt out of bed. I could feel the excitement radiating of her as she grabbed a pair of matching maid costumes.
I blinked
"I know there not fancy or anything but there super cute!" She gushed practically begging with her eyes.
I sighed and gave in. Staring at my reflection, I realized this was the most normal fun if had with another girl my age.
I was a shutin and had always prioritized my brother first, but sometimes I wondered what it would be like to go out and be a normal teenage.
If jasmine were in Japan, she would probably become my best friend for sure. Probably love manga, anime and even become a cosplayer.
I smiled at the thought.
"Hey, mind if I see your brother a bit before I leave...." I asked
"Sure, he's in his room...." She said picking up clothes off the floor.
"Thanks..." I grabbed mochi and walked down the corridor. A maid was heading the same way holding a tray of freshly brewed tea in a teapoy, alongwith some fancy china cups.
"You don't have to, I can take that..." I smile as she handed me the tray.
I stood before Felix's door, feeling awkward somehow.
What if he has another episode, I don't want to be bitten again... Blood is just body fluid right? Then my spit should work the same...
I stared at the teapot, carefully lifting the lid and lowered my head.
"What are you doing?" I jolted, nearly jumping out of my own skin, The tray shook but I managed not to topple over.
I whipped around to see none other there prince Felix himself holding a book he probably got from the palace library.
"Prince Felix...I was just in my way to see you...." I Stuttered
Quit stuttering you dot!
"In a maid outfit?" He rose a brow. I looked down to see that I was still indeed dress in that stupid maid outfit.
Crap! I forgot about that!
Felix looked away for a moment giggling, I could tell he was humoring this.
"Come in..." He said opening the door to his room as I quietly died inside.

We sat in pur silence as I just stared at the floor awkwardly. Mochi was sitting beside me oblivious to all the tension
He's been staring at that book for a while now. The book doesn't look short yet he hasn't flip a single page
I looked up to see he was staring right at me. I almost gasped in surprise.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to stare..." He looked away for a moment before returning his gaze
"Is the book not too your liking?" I asked trying to start a conversation.
"Not really, I've never been a real fan of history books, it just helps pass the time..." he sighed
"I can't really say I feel the same. I love reading pretty much anything...." I awed at the memory of the novels I'd read.
"Is that so, your so much like sister, always had her head in romance books all the time. I find that really charming about her..." He smiled softly
"By the way what else do you like?" He asked
"Huh? What do you mean?" I stared at him confused
"As in your hobbies , what else are you into?" He elaborated
"Hmmm, I like reading, eating, sleeping, gardening, hanging out with my friends...." I went in
"But those are just parts of everyday life..." He furrowed his brows
"Are they? I guess I just enjoy living life then...." I shrugged , my tail wagging excitedly as I thought about all my adventures so far
He stared at me with an unreadable expression on his face before speaking
"I wanted to thank you for the other day..." He said, changing the subject as he put the book down.
"It's no biggie, I'm just glad you're alright now, jasmine was a nervous wreck when she saw in such a State...."
How strange....at first I was nervous about talking to him... but he just seems like a worried big brother at the mention of jasmine.
We chatted a bit more before I had to leave, waving cheerfully as I left for my portal..

Felix's pov
As night fell I stared out my window, looking at the stars as my thoughts drifted.
I guess I just enjoy living life then
My heart flutter at her words but I couldn't understand why. At first I tolerated her because she was Jasmine's friend but now....it feels different...
Just then I felt a sharp pain pierce through me as I held the window seal fiercely.
"My Lord are you alright?!..." The butler asked as he entered my room, holding a sealed envelope
"Yes, I'm fine. What brings you here, it's quite late..."
"You've received a proposal from the Hamilton's family to count their second daughter, lady ivory...." He said holding up the letter.
I took it from his hands, tearing it open as I read it's contents.
"She's coming over in a few days to meet you in person. You're parents have already agreed to the meeting but are leaving the decision of courtship to you..." He explained.
Hamilton huh, according to rumors they have three daughters, all which attend my family's events to climb social standing. The first daughter has already been wed to a duke from a dukedom in the mystical region as some sought of alliance.
"Sounds annoying, but I'll live through it " I sighed
"Good to know you're cooperating my Lord" the butler left.
"I'm pretty sure lady ivory doesn't know about my curse, and once she does, she'll probably despise me.... but probably still marry me to secure power..." I clenched fist

Shiori's pov
"I really want to see Jasmine but Eliot decided to bury me in work...." I sighed
" I want to read a romance book..." I whined
"You'll have plenty to read after your done with the Democratic issues " Eliot said
"So cruel!" I cried
One painfully long work later
"I'm finished!" I beamed with joy and pride as I stretched a bit

I headed off to Jasmine's, holding a box of hair accessories as gift. I noticed a fancy white carriage parked in front of the palace
"Do they have a guest?" I tilted my head curiously.
I entered the common area to find jasmine and Felix sitted with a lady around the same age. She had shiny auqa blue colored hair a blue eye, wearing a cute teal dress, having this flowery aura around her.
Jasmine look up at smiled wide
"You're here!" She gestured for me to sit so I did
"Whose the fish I mean lady here?" I gestured to the auqa haired girl
"My name is Ivory Hamilton. I'm a potential bride for prince Felix" she smiled sweetly at me.
"Um...ok, I'm Shiori komori" I said not sure knowing what else to do .
"Jasmine dear, why is she here with us today?" Lady ivory asked smiling but her eyes stared at me like I was speck ruining her perfect ambiance.
"She's someone important to us..." Felix said without blinking. Lady ivory's eye twitched.
I tensed as tea was served the lady kept talking like she couldn't read the room. She tried asking Felix more personal questions but he just gave vague one word answers, while looking completely done with this woman.
I get jasmine wants to support her brother and all, but why do I have to be here!?
I stared at Felix closely, his knuckles were trembling slightly.
Is he nervous? Or maybe holding back a punch?. If he's actually interested he should at least look her in the e-
That's when I noticed his eyes were both red, staring down like it would calm the situation.
Crap! This is bad. Jasmine doesn't seem to have noticed yet .
"So my Lord, what is your favorite pastime?" Ivory asked
"Sorry but tea time is over!" I stood abruptly, standing in front of Felix to shield him from her glance
Ivory's smile didn't falter but her aura had changed
"Lord Felix, I believe this meeting is between you and me, let's get those two out of the way, hmmm..."
"He's too I'll to speak to you, please leave..."
Just go lady before he loses his shit!!!"
I glanced at jasmine and I think she got the message.
"Yes, please leave...." She backed me up as Felix's breathing became rough and laboured.
Lady ivory clenched her dress before standing up.
"Guess I'll just have to visit you another time there. till then, prince Felix" she curtsies and left with jasmine escorting out.
"Finally she's gone..." I turned to face Felix who was fighting to remain sain.
I have no choice, I need to give him my body fluid.
I was about to spit in his cup to fed him with but he grabbed my arm firmly, bringing me closer to his face.
Prince Felix..... That's expression, it's the same as the last time.... your always looking out for jasmine yet no one can aid you...

I grabbed his face and smashed my lips against his Both of us just froze as I couldn't believe my own actions.
This is my first kiss! I don't know what to do! I panicked
I pulled away for moment, staring at his parted lips.
So he has fang, quite sexy, but he seems more like a puppy right now if I'm been honest
I felt a hand on the back of my head as he crashed his lips onto mine. My eyes widened as his other hand moved to my hips, making me strandle on his lap.

Our tongues met passionately as he pressed harder against me. I was lost for words. Who knew this mysterious man was such an intense kisser.
My face felt so hot as a bubbly feely was erupting in my gut. I was loosing myself in the kiss when he grabbed my tail.
I snapped back into reality and pushed him away. His face was something I couldn't describe.
Basically a tomato and solar waved had a baby and plaster onto his face. he passed out, I'm not sure whether it was from exhaustion or shame.
Jasmine came back with a physician and some vials of blood.
"He's stable now but I better leave now" I bowed clumsily before sprinting out of there.

Ceramics were smashed to pieces as lady ivory panted, looking furious.
"How there she make me look bad in front of prince Felix. I shall make her pay!" She screamed, eyes wild like a lunatic
