Adeline stood frozen, unsure of how to respond to a man who had lost his mother, yet she couldn't accept his logic. It was entirely wrong to steal the life of a civilian who had simply relayed information based on a public notice.
"Now, you'll spend the rest of your life in the dungeons. What do you think of that, Edmund?" Gideon stood up, walking slowly toward him until he towered over the hybrid. "You had no right to take a life like that. Do you even have any idea what kind of chaos Wilfred's death brought?"
