The Past . . . . . . . . . . . .
Feng'er, leave this place immediately, go and hide Xiao Feng's parents urged him as they tried to escape from the Assassins after them. Xiao feng, hid in the shadows of an abandoned cellar and watched with horror when an arrow laced with deadly poisons shot his father in the chest. Instantly, the poison reacted and killed him.
His mother, Xiao Sui upon seeing her husband dead gave a loud ear splitting cry. The death of her husband and dao companion made her lose her mind and she confronted the assassins head on.
You infiltrated my house and killed everyone including my husband. You and I have no enmity towards each other so why do you target me she asked angrily.
"hahaha" you should blame your self for having something you are not supposed to have. Hand over what we are looking for and we will let you live. The head assassin said
Who sent you? She demanded while ignoring what the assassin said.
Who do you think you are to ask we the Iron Crow society such as foolish question. Stop playing dumb and shut up that slutty mouth of yours and hand over the dragon_tiger inheritance. he demanded angrily.
Never, Xiao Sui answered. You will not get this inheritance from me not until you kill me. She took out a long saber with a golden handle and pointed it towards the head assassin.
Everlasting curse disaster, die she shouted as she unleashed a martial skill.
The attack took the head assassin by surprised. He was surprised Xiao Sui took the initiative considering her situation.
Before he could counterattack, the saber rays struck the head assassin in his chest.
Uhhhh aaaaaah he screamed in agony, what have you done to me he gasped at the horrifying wound on his chest. I'll kill you bitch.
Luckily he came prepared or the consequences would have been very serious. He took out a talisman with mysterious inscriptions on it. He poured his essence in it, it gave of a bright red glow. He made hand seals in the air and threw the talisman in Xiao Sui's direction.
Xiao Sui dodged when the attack arrived, but it kept following her. Sensing something strange about this attack, she tried to counterattack it but to no avail. it continued chasing after her. She clenched her fist in frustration.
The head assassin who had completely healed his injuries by taking a medicinal pill smirked when he saw Xiao Sui struggling to shake of the talisman.
The dragon_tiger inheritor is just so so. I can't believe the dragon_tiger inheritance chose trash like you to be its vessel. Why don't you hand over the inheritance and I'll spare you after my comrades and i have fun with you. The head assassin mocked, looking at her with a lustful gaze. The other assassins nodded their head in agreement and some of them had reactions below their belly.
Their actions infuriated Xiao Sui. She stopped and unleashed a forbidden technique "dragon tiger damnation" she cried. Instantly she received a ten fold power boost and destroyed the talisman with a sway of her sword.
She thrust the sword in the direction of the head assassin's surbodinates and cut them in a thousand pieces leaving only the head assassin alive.
The air in the surroundings was unnervingly still. Xiao sui her breath steady despite the pain in her heart and adjusted her stance. Opposite her stood the Iron Crow society's head assassin, an assassin whose name was whispered only in secret.
He didn't use a sword. He moved with twin hooked blades that hummed with a sickly, necrotic violet energy. He was finally serious, he had to end this quickly.
The head assassin moved first, a blur of shadow that seemed to ignore the laws of physics. Xiao Sui reacted with the Tiger's Pounce, her fist wreathed in golden flame. The collision sent a shockwave that shattered the surrounding buildings like glass.
Xiao Sui's traditional cultivation was built on balance, but the head assassins technique was designed to "leak" energy. Every time his blade met he saber, he wasn't just striking her—he was draining her spiritual foundation.
"I will be taking the Inheritance after you die tonight," the head assassin hissed, his voice sounding like grinding stones.
"Die you bitch"He lunged, his hooks carving a trail of void-matter through the air. Xiao Sui spun, her Dragon's Tail Kick narrowly missing his throat, but the head assassin's shadow-clones emerged from the darkness, pinning her against the ground.
Xiao SUi realized she was outmatched. Her meridians were clogging with the backlash from the forbidden technique she used. To save the legacy and her son, she would have to destroy herself.
She whispered the incantation for The Shattered Horizon.
"Dragon of the Heavens, Tiger of the Earth—Collide. Become the Void."
A sickening and loud crack sounded from Xiao Sui's chest as her Dantian fractured. The two opposing spirits—the Azure Dragon and the orange and black Tiger—stopped their peaceful dance and slammed into one another with brute force.
A scorching fireball came out of her and heated towards the head assassin at an astonishing rate.
The head assassin knew he was done for. He tried to escape but before he could react, the fireball blew him in countless pieces before he could scream, destroying his soul and consciousness giving him no chance of reincarnation.
The light faded as quickly as it had appeared. The grove was a blackened circle of glass.
Xiao Sui collapsed, her skin pale as marble, her breathing shallow and ragged. The Shattered Horizon had won the battle, but the price was etched into her soul. Her dantian was gone replaced by a cold, hollow ache. She had survived the assassin, but she would not be able to live for long.
She looked at her hands, which were trembling and scarred with burns. She had protected the inheritance, but she would never be able to cultivate it again.
