Ava left the building furious.
"How dare he?" she muttered, pacing down the street. "Arrogant, heartless—"
She didn't see the cyclist coming.
CRASH.
Everything blurred. Pain shot through her arm as she hit the pavement.
"Are you okay?!" someone shouted.
Before she could respond, a familiar voice cut through the chaos.
"Move."
Dominic.
Ava blinked up at him, shocked.
"You?" she groaned.
He crouched beside her, his expression unreadable.
"Can you stand?"
"I think so…"
He helped her up, his grip firm but careful.
"You're bleeding," he said.
"I've had worse," she replied stubbornly.
He frowned slightly.
"Come with me."
"What? No—"
"That wasn't a suggestion."
