"Why is it so hard? Why am I the only one getting the wrong end of everything in every situation?"
Meng Ziyi wiped away her tears as she stepped out of the door of the most tallest building in the city (Starlight Empire).
Her manager just informed her that they're going to hold a press conference and tell the whole world she didn't know Michael Keng had a girlfriend, who happened to be her senior at work(Jessica Yang)and so it was all in her head that they will get to be a thing.
Mind you,she was in a relationship with Michael and found him in her own bed with her senior just last night. She cried out and cursed them out while pulling her phone out to record them yet it got snatched by Mike.
He later gave her a stinging slap and threw the phone across the room. Her cute and kind Mike had lashed out at her; "Do you even know what you're getting yourself into? The nerve you have to even pick up a phone to record. I always knew you were dumb but I didn't know it was this bad." Ziyi wiped away the tears on her face after getting slapped and saw the smug look on Jessica's face.
She lost all reason and launged at her in the bed but was caught by Michael as soon as she tried.
"You bitch" slap. "You dare to lay a finger on her" slap. "Don't ever try to lay your filthy hands on her" another slap. Ziyi was stunned and couldn't hear anything after getting slapped and tossed over and over again.
She laid on the floor and watched them pick up their clothes and wear them like nothing had happened and strutted out.
"Do you think she will expose us" she dazedly heard Jessica voice out before the door to the bedroom closed.
Ziyi was in stupor and didn't know if what she was going through was just a dream and just laid there. But the pain from been slapped told her otherwise.
She got up and sat in bed for a few minutes,trying to think things through and contemplated on calling the agency or just airing what happened.
She clutched her stomach bcos the room was filled with the smell of sex and their perfume and ran to the bathroom to wretch out whatever she had eaten that day.
"I would never let them go scotfree" she voiced,as she tried to stop her tears. Ziyi was a Z list actress who has been trying so hard in the industry. She has always had a thing for acting and sweared to herself she was going to make it.
She didn't know it was going to be so hard. Her manger, Zi Meng always said "if you're not ready to sell yourself, you're gonna rot away like tomatoes in the market. Make use of yourself while you're ripe and edible"
Meng Ziyi thought she was hearing wrong because no one told her it was going to be like this when she joined the agency two years ago. She had just graduated from university and thought it would be great if she joined an agency as soon as possible.
Not knowing this was what was happening behind closed doors.
She picked up her phone,and started recording. "I just caught my boyfriend of 4 years in the same bed with my senior at work. The three of us work in the same agency and their names are A list Actors,Jessica Yang and Michael Keng. Me and Michael started dating when I was in my 2nd year of Uni. He chased me so hard for 6 months saying he was so captivated by me and would never do anything to hurt me".
She showed them the bruises and said she didn't know humans were so evil and pleaded with netizens to bring her justice and posted the video on her weibo.
Since the cheating couple were both A list actors,it didn't take long for the news to reach on the toplist of the Internet.
"WAS JESSICA THIS VILE?"
"IS MICHAEL, THE NATION'S SON A CHEAT AND A BULLY?"
"A Z LIST ACTRESS ASSAULTED BY JESSICA YANG AND MICHAEL KENG"
Meng Ziyi saw that the topic was doing well on the searches and decided to bath and sleep for the night.
She put her phone on charge and hit the showers. Ziyi couldn't help but cry as the water hit her face and cause a stinging pain from the slaps.
She didn't know what hurt more,her chest or her face.
"I am never going to get bullied again. Why should I be crying over someone so undeserving of my love? I'm gonna wash these tears away and head for a new start."
She promised as she washed her sorrows away and promised to focus more on finding gigs and leave anything that had to do with romance.
Ziyi came out of the bathroom with a hair dryer and couldn't help but look out at the night sky.
Shanghai had the best view at night with all those lights. She found her phone ringing and went to unplug it only to find 55 missed calls.(most of them from the agency and 15 from Michael)
She snickered and tried calling the agency thinking that they were going to sympathise with her.
"Meng Ziyi! Are you out of your mind? Come to the company this second or your contract will be terminated along with the said penalty".
Meng Ziyi was dumbfounded.
She was clearly the one being wronged but she didn't understand why her manager would talk to her that harshly.
She sat down and came to the conclusion that she was just mad on her behalf and decided to dress up and leave for the company head office.
