"What a gorgeous day," Carlisle declared, his smile beaming irresistibly.
Glancing at him, I shifted my gaze upward. The sky stretched out in a clear, endless blue, not a single cloud in sight - a sure sign that autumn was gradually creeping in.
'Autumn already? Can't believe half a year slipped away just like that. All I did was research back at Cantio or spend evenings with Frederick, drinking tea and chatting. At least recently, it seems like I did a lot with Carlisle, but...'
Right then, Carlisle set down his teacup, timing his question perfectly.
"What's got you thinking so deeply, Lili?"
'He always asks whenever I think of him.'
"You."
"Ah, that’s... quite an honor."
His cheeks took on a delicate shade of pink as he murmured softly, seemingly forgetting he had flirted with me.
It wasn't like I was saying anything special; I was just telling him the truth.
