Joshua didn't leave my barracks that night because I wanted him to stay.
As we remained in each other's arms, I extinguished the magical light that had illuminated the room.
After shedding several tears, I eventually regained my composure.
Throughout that time, Joshua held me close with one arm, continually wiping away the tears from my eyes with his other hand.
His touch felt incredibly tender and considerate.
'It feels so comforting to have someone so caring and affectionate. It really does, but...'

As I softly muttered, a low voice tickled my ears.
"All of a sudden?"
Joshua was now softly stroking the back of my head.
I squirmed a bit and nestled further into his embrace.
"You're more used to crying than I am..."
"That was a long time ago. Why are you bringing that up?" Joshua retorted with a slightly annoyed tone.
Nevertheless, I rubbed my face against his chest while still holding onto his collar.
