Gale's startling, yet not-so-surprising revelation quickly faded from my mind. I had somewhat expected it, in a way, but the main reason for that was Cedric.
That day, on my way back, Cedric had scolded me severely.
The fact that I’d stood my ground instead of running away was the cause.
As Cedric had pointed out, I could have made my escape the moment the carriage halted. But at that moment, my anger had been overwhelming, and I couldn't bear it without breaking something first.
Of course, I received even more of a lecture after saying that. I was really severely reprimanded.
"I know you're strong, Lilianne. But what if your opponent was even stronger?"
Anyone should’ve seen the look on Cedric's face when he said that. He really should be aware of how terrifying he looks when he's angry...
