Certainly, I had thought many things had changed, that we couldn't turn back time.
Yet, the Aiden before me kept summoning memories from the past.

Aiden tenderly called my name, his eyes forming crescent shapes.
His voice was completely different from nine years ago, but at the same time, he was the Aiden I knew best.

Once a boy I had relied on the most, now seated in front of me as a fully-fledged adult, it was hard to believe he had once been a young child. It felt somehow surreal.

I lowered my head to avoid his gaze.
Aiden silently passed me more documents in response.

"Can I lend a hand occasionally?"
