Lately, I hadn't been visiting the mansion's dining hall, and the reason was pretty straightforward. Whenever I ate with the Blanchet couple, I couldn't help but feel nauseous. It turned out Julianne felt the same way and made the same choice.
Ever since the Blanchet couple returned to the mansion, Julianne made it a point to bring me food from the housekeeper for every meal herself.
‘I really don't mind, though. I know I keep saying it, but I’m used to being treated like this. At least she doesn't need to go and get the food herself. "You have to finish everything, okay? Don't leave any leftovers," Julianne said kindly, as usual, as she brought me my food.
I glanced at the tray holding the soup and bread and gave a slow nod.
