The training ground echoed with the sharp clang of steel meeting air.
Young Kira stood alone at its centre, his small frame tense, his wooden sword cutting through the wind again and again. Each swing carried determination far heavier than his body could bear. Dust rose beneath his feet as he practiced, over and over, correcting his stance the only way he knew—through repetition.
"Hey, curse one… your stance is wrong."
The voice came suddenly.
Kira paused mid-swing, turning his head. A young girl stood a few steps away, arms crossed, her expression sharp and unimpressed.
Kira blinked… then gave a small nod."...Thanks."
Before he could reset his stance, the girl lunged forward without warning—her strike fast, precise, and aimed straight at him.
KRAK!
Their wooden blades clashed, Kira barely managing to block.
But just as she prepared to strike again—
"Don't you two get along?"
A calm, firm voice cut through the tension.
Both children froze.
Draves stood nearby, arms folded, watching them with narrowed eyes—not angry, but observant. His presence alone was enough to halt the clash.
The girl clicked her tongue and stepped back. Kira lowered his sword, breathing slightly heavier.
After a moment of silence, Kira spoke.
"…How can I get stronger?"
Draves looked at him—really looked at him this time.
"Kira… the world is fair, you know."
Kira frowned slightly.
"It didn't give you any mana technique…" Draves continued, his tone steady, "but it gave you a mana nature."
Then, as he spoke, his eyes narrowed—his gaze sharpening.
Mana nature…
His thoughts deepened.
This boy's true mana… it's been swallowed… engulfed by another external mana. One far greater than his own…
For a brief moment, something unreadable passed through his expression.
But then he spoke again.
"Tell me… have you ever heard of Emergency Kick?"
Kira shook his head.
"It's not something taught," Draves said. "It's a state… a flow."
His voice lowered.
"Only a few ever reach it."
"It happens in a situation where one body feels danger or..."
"In that state, the body forces an overwhelming surge of mana through itself… a flow so intense it can shatter your own heart."
Kira's grip on his sword tightened.
"But…" Draves continued, "…if a miracle happens—just once—"
"That state can awaken something buried deep within you."
"Mana techniques… engraved into your heart… sealed… waiting."
The wind passed through the training ground.
Silence followed.
—
The scene flickered.
Like a broken memory.
—
Riya lay on the ground, her vision blurred, her body too weak to move.
The world around her felt distant… fading…
And in front of her—
Kira stood.
But not the same Kira.
Blue wings stretched wide from his back, glowing faintly in the darkness. His black scarf flowed wildly with the wind, merging with the movement of those wings.
His upper body was bare—covered in wounds, streaked with blood, each mark telling a story of pain he had endured.
Yet he stood.
Unshaken.
Unmoving.
Alive with something far beyond himself.
Riya's fading eyes widened slightly.
"…Kira…"
But no sound came out.
Only the silent realization—
That the boy from the training ground…
Had stepped into something far more dangerous than strength.
✧✧✧
"Oh, you are still alive."
Vaeliora eyes hovered from down to up surveying Kira and his new form from a distance.
Kira stood like a warrior carved from battle itself. His upper body was bare, marked with cuts and bruises that told the story of the fight he had endured—painful, but not enough to bring him down. A worn scarf was wrapped tightly around his neck, fluttering slightly in the charged air, as if it still carried memories of who he once was.
From his back, radiant wings of pure mana stretched outward, glowing with a deep blue light. They weren't just beautiful—they were powerful, almost divine. The blue energy flowed across his body like a living current, wrapping around his arms, his chest, even his broken blade. That sword, though shattered, was still held firmly in his grip, a symbol that he refused to fall, no matter the odds.
The energy around him pulsed, making him look almost untouchable—magnificent and terrifying at the same time.
"This is interesting."
Vaeliora shifted her gaze towards the trembling Lisa, trying to stand and then directed towards Riya, laid on her back, on the ground.
"Ah... how much time had gone."
Vaeliora whispered to herself and then narrowed her eyes, shifting her gaze towards Kira whom she thought had died not long before.
What should have save him? she thoughts but there was nothing could point to came to conclusion. So, the return of the curse child is just another miracle.
"You will die now."
Vaeliora narrowed eyes glared towards Kira, who stood clenching his fist to a broken sword, his eyes firm looked like a warrior which pisses her off as there was no fear in it. Thus, she directed her palm in the direction of Kira and Riya.
Kira saw her actions and immediately took a fighting stance. His white eyes looked towards the lady as if saying he is ready.
"Help me the water bounded by fate."
The air around Vaeliora shimmered as countless razor-thin strings of water began forming, suspended like a deadly web. Each strand vibrated with pressure, reflecting light like glass—beautiful, yet lethal. With a mere flick of her fingers, they aligned, ready to pierce through anything in their path.
Just as she was about to unleash them—
Kira tightens his grip around his broken sword and disappearing for a second which startled Vaeliora but she felt the presence of a mana behind her and then as she looked Kira appeared.
He moved like a flash, his broken sword blazing with radiant blue energy as he swung from behind. Vaeliora reacted instantly, her clawed hand snapping back to meet his strike. Steel and claw collided, sending a shockwave rippling through the air. The clash rang sharp and violent, blue mana crackling against her water-forged defence.
Kira wings flapped in the opposite direction of him and then Vaeliora smirked, with unnatural flexibility, she twisted her body mid-motion, slipping past Kira's follow-up strike. Her form spun like flowing water, graceful yet unpredictable. In that same motion, she released the suspended water strings.
"This is enough for you."
Kira's eyes sharpened. In a burst of movement, he vanished from their path, the strings slicing through the space he had occupied just a heartbeat before. He reappeared a step away, the blue wings still surging around him, his broken blade raised once more.
And then he marched forward.
In the midst of the battle Lisa stood looking towards a miracle which she didn't expected to bloom now.
"Kira."
A boy which she first met at trials trembling in fear of death. She believed like everyone that the curse one should be punished but when she used her blessed authority of eternal mind on him that helps her to feel anyone guilt, she saw something.
A guilt of being weak. A guilt of being saved. A guilt of being losing a close friend. A guilt of surviving.
She saw all of it. She felt all of it and thus she decides to save the curse child and oppose the whole opposition with her brother Draves.
And due to that, the boy is now fighting for them.
✧✧✧
Lisa stood frozen for a moment, her eyes fixed on Kira's overwhelming aura.
And then she hovers towards Riya who was laid down and then she rushed towards her. Her steps were unsteady, the air around them trembling with surging blue mana.As she reached her, Riya struggled to lift her head, her voice filled with confusion.
"What is happening to him…?" she whispered, staring at the distant figure."That power… Kira mana nature is lightning… so what is this?"
Lisa clenched her fists, glancing back at Kira's glowing form."I… I don't know," She answers looking towards Kira.
✧✧✧
"You are pretty strong."
Vaeliora spoke looking towards Kira and manging her balance as they exchange blows to each other.
She didn't was to get in close combat. Thus, she was twisting her body as she wants to maintain herself as far as possible and then releasing a deadly snipe. Her strategy was useful for her but Kira due to her new wings, he was able to close distance and swing the broken sword and also lands some punches, but it was not enough as he was already tired.
"Ah..."
Thus, as a result, When Kira tried to come close, her wings spread, twisting her body midair she releases a massive deadly sting of water towards Kira.
The attack could pierce his stomach, but he survives as he blocks the sting with his wings, but he was stepped back due to it, just few inches but it was enough for the lady as she directed her hands towards him releasing a massive air pressure followed by flames.
"Die"
It was quite an opening and thus the result of it was a massive explosion followed by flash.
Vaeliora smirk as she saw the explosion.
"KIRA!!"
Riya shouts but quickly dismisses it as she saw the blue wings at the behind of the explosion, making her relives.
The blue wings disappears and through the explosion, a faint blue light emerged striking ground at the front of Vaeliora.
"Wha..."
The light belongs to Kira, whose wings were dissolved and engulfed around his hands add then with continuing the momentum, he strikes Vaeliora in her torso, launching her towards the wall with the dust behind.
Vaeliora crashes into the wall and the cracks appears from behind but she smirks as she flapped her dragon wings she stood and laugh.
"HAAAAAAAAA!!!!.... You are the best."
Kira glanced towards her and as mana around him, surged towards his arms, he stepped forward but as he takes his one step, something cracks.
His heart...
His heart pierce opens due to massive mana output surging through his bodies and then he fells to his knees, coughing blood through his mouth. The mana surged around his arms started to faints.
Vaeliora stood at a distance looking towards the pitiful self of Kira as he was trembling.
"Ah... man, why now... things were getting interesting..."
She smiles looking towards the fallen Kira and then lifted her hands forming many water stings and engulf them into lightning.
"Die then."
Launching them she smiles but her smiles fade as a giant ice walls appears protecting Kira.
It startles Vaeliora and she shifted her gaze towards the position she was before; her expression changes.
And then she notices something...
Someone was missing there and as she twisted herself behind a massive kick towards her abdominal launches her again.
Vaeliora's body slammed across the ground as Lisa's kick struck her with brutal force, the impact echoing through the battlefield. Dust and fragments scattered as she skidded to a halt, yet instead of pain, a twisted smile slowly crept onto her face. She rose calmly, almost elegantly, as if the attack meant nothing, her eyes gleaming with something far more dangerous than anger—anticipation.
Without a word at first, she lifted her hand toward the sky, her fingers stretching outward as if grasping something unseen. Then, in a quiet, chilling voice, she spoke—"Switch."
Her dragon wings, tails start to be fading.
Then came the sound.
A distant roar tore through the sky.
Everyone instinctively turned their gaze upward, and in the next moment, streaks of fire ripped across the heavens. Small meteors began crashing down into the university, exploding on impact, sending flames and debris in every direction. The ground trembled violently beneath each strike, panic spreading as destruction rained from above.
But it didn't stop.
High above, something far worse emerged—a colossal meteor, far larger than the rest, engulfed entirely in raging flames. It burned like a second sun, descending slowly yet inevitably toward the university, its presence alone enough to suffocate hope.
Vaeliora looked up at it, her smile widening into something almost inhuman. Then she glanced back at them, her eyes filled with cruel excitement.
"Let's have a party in hell."
