Chapter 31 - Ch.30 Arrival

The air trembled as the hollow black room shifted again.

Kira staggered back, his breath uneven, his vision flickering—not from the enemy in front of him, but from the past clawing at his mind. The walls weren't just walls anymore. They twisted, reshaping into fragments of memories he tried so hard to bury—blood, shadows, a death, and that same woman whose blood spilled on him covering his left eye.

The Lady smiled.

Not kindly. Never kindly.

"You are just a slave"

she said, her voice echoing from every direction at once. "Still weak. Still trapped."

The ground beneath Kira cracked—and suddenly he wasn't standing in a void anymore. He was back there.

That day.

The same surroundings, The same prison, The same school locker where he was hiding.

"Stop…!" Kira whispered, gripping his head. "This isn't real…"

"Oh, but it is," she replied softly. "Your fear makes it real."

A blade of darkness formed in her hand, longer than before, sharper, as if feeding on his hesitation.

Before she could strike—

CRACK!

A wall of ice burst through the illusion.

"Enough!"

Riya stepped forward, her eyes sharp, glowing faintly with cold determination. Frost spread from her feet, freezing the burning illusion mid-motion. The flames stopped. The screams silenced.

Reality fractured.

"I am also here, you know"

The Lady tilted her head, amused. "And you think you can stop me?"

In an instant, the surroundings changed again.

Now they stood in an endless mirror-like space. Reflections stretched infinitely, each one showing different versions of Kira—broken, crying, defeated.

Riya clenched her fist.

Dozens of ice spikes which were formed in midair, each one shimmering with deadly precision and in a instant they darted toward her from every direction.

The spikes tore through the air in a deadly wave—fast, sharp, and impossible to dodge.

For a moment, it seemed certain they would pierce her.

But the Lady didn't move.

She smiled.

Just before the spikes could reach her, the space around her folded.

It wasn't a dodge—it was as if reality itself bent to her will.

The spikes slowed.

Then stopped.

Suspended inches from her body.

A faint ripple spread through the air, like the surface of disturbed water. The space between her and the attack stretched unnaturally, turning a split-second impact into an endless distance.

"Did you really think…" she whispered, her voice calm, almost amused, "…that something this simple could reach me?"

With a slight tilt of her head, the surroundings shifted again.

The spikes trembled—

Then twisted.

Their direction reversed.

Now pointing back at their creators.

With a flick of her fingers, the frozen storm came alive once more, shooting back faster than before, cutting through the air with terrifying force.

She stepped forward through the chaos, untouched.

Not a single spike grazed her.

"Your attacks exist within my world," she said coldly. "And in my world… I decide what hits—and what doesn't."

Behind her, the distorted space slowly snapped back into place, leaving no trace of the attack ever reaching her—as if it had been rejected by reality itself.

and in an instant as they were launched, Riya slammed her legs on the ground forming a massive layer of ice walls around her and Kira bodies like a hemisphere but to her surprise none of the spikes actually hits the wall. "What the heck is this"

Kira, who was at the ground, tried to force himself to stand up.

By the previous encounter and also now, he is able to analyse the true blessing of Lady in red.

"Hey... Riya.. her attacks are fake... her blessings allow her to alter the reality according to her...", She tells Riya while struggling.

Riya who was controlling her ice graze towards him by one side of her eyes and listened to him but didn't say anything which confused Kira.

"....."

"Ok then...", She said in a low voice.

and in an instant the walls formed around her were gone and a dozens of ice spikes formed around them in each direction. North, south, east-west everything was covered with her spikes.

The idea here was that if the lady in red can alter the reality and make herself indivisible by it then they can just cover everything in their surrounding with their attacks to harm her as she would not be able to escape.

And in a next second's thousands of spikes launched in a hope of damaging but the plan failed as instead of damaging the lady, the ice destroyed the endless mirror like space.

The space was destroyed and everything becomes normal. The wild beast, the forest, the corpses, everything returns but something was different.

Kira eyes widened as he hovered his eyes in his surroundings but couldn't find it. The thing which he was searching and in a next moment his eyes met Riya who was at two-to-three-foot inches, he saw her looking towards the sky and then towards Kira with a surprise face and as she stepped.

Kira looked at the sky and a bitter face appeared filled with fear as he saw something he didn't have to see.

It was the lady in red.

Her murderous intention were clear.

She came from above like a falling blade, her dagger mere inches from Kira's left eye—when a piercing mana snipe cut through the air and struck her, halting the attack at the last possible moment.

It was sent by someone. Someone from the quite far distance.

And as Riya turned her head towards the direction, she saw someone hairs.

A white silver hair's.
