Chapter 75 - The Terrifying Birdcage

"Birdcage!"

With a flick of Donquixote Doflamingo's fingers, countless white threads descended from the sky, spreading densely across every corner of Minion Island.

In an instant—

the once peaceful island transformed into a living cage.

The Birdcage was the ultimate technique of the String-String Fruit.

Once caught within its threads, escape was as impossible as an insect trapped in a spider's web. Those ensnared could only be slaughtered at the user's whim.

Worse still—

the threads blocked all signals.

Den Den Mushi communication, electromagnetic transmission—everything was cut off.

Once trapped inside the Birdcage, there were only two possible endings:

either everyone died… or the slaughter never stopped.

At the center of the town, Doflamingo stood like a demon.

His arms spread wide.

Invisible threads descended from the sky, binding the entire island in his grasp.

"AHHH—what's happening to my body?!"

"Damn it! I can't control my hands!"

"No—don't come closer! Stop—STOP!"

The residents of Minion Island became puppets.

Their bodies moved against their will.

Their hands raised weapons—

and turned them on their own families.

All across the island, the sound of blades piercing flesh echoed without end.

Within the Birdcage—

everyone was forced to slaughter one another.

They could only watch helplessly as their own hands killed friends… lovers… family.

"No…!"

"Why… why did I kill them?!"

The cries of despair filled the island.

But no one could break free.

As bodies fell one after another, madness spread like a plague.

This was not just physical pain—

it was psychological torment far worse than death itself.

Doflamingo watched it all coldly.

Without emotion.

Raised in Mary Geoise, he had been indoctrinated with the worldview of the Celestial Dragons since childhood.

To him—

ordinary human lives were worthless.

The tragedy he experienced in his youth had twisted him beyond repair.

To make up for what he saw as past weakness, he had even shot his own father in front of Corazon.

From that moment on—

Doflamingo had become something else entirely.

A being stripped of compassion.

A monster driven only by domination and destruction.

"Young Master, something's wrong!"

Buffalo rushed over in a panic, holding a Den Den Mushi.

"We've lost contact with Pica! There's no response at all—he's just… gone!"

"Impossible!" Doflamingo's expression shifted instantly. He knew exactly how powerful Pica was. "How could he disappear without a trace?! What happened?!"

"What do we do?" Trebol frowned deeply. Even with the Birdcage deployed, he felt an unsettling sense that something had gone wrong.

"Could the Marines have broken through the Birdcage?" Diamante muttered, confused. "That's impossible. Young Master reinforced the threads with Armament Haki. They can slice through steel—no one should be able to break in from outside!"

Then—

everyone's expression changed.

A crushing pressure descended from the sky.

It was no longer just air—

it felt like the heavens themselves were collapsing.

The space around them twisted under the weight of it.

"What… is this?!"

Even the battle-hardened members of the Donquixote Family felt their minds go blank.

The overwhelming Reiatsu storm pressed down like a mountain.

Their bodies trembled.

Their knees buckled.

Aside from Doflamingo—who barely managed to remain standing—

the other executives collapsed one after another.

Their eyes rolled back.

Foam gathered at their mouths.

They were on the verge of losing consciousness entirely.

"Damn it… where is this pressure coming from?!" Doflamingo gritted his teeth.

As a user of Conqueror's Haki, he could feel it more clearly than anyone else.

This force—

was hundreds of times stronger than his own Haki.

"Who else is on this island besides Corazon?!"

For the first time—

fear crept into Doflamingo's heart.

"Whoever you are—GET OUT HERE!"

He roared, scanning his surroundings wildly.

But there was nothing.

Only that suffocating pressure.

Then—

a faint sound echoed.

A bell.

Doflamingo's face changed instantly as he turned toward the source.

At the far end of his vision—

a towering figure emerged.

A wild grin.

A monstrous presence.

Kenpachi Zaraki.

"So it's you… one of the Shinigami Pirates. Kenpachi…" Doflamingo's voice grew heavy. Ever since Kenpachi's bounty poster appeared—with its staggering figure—he had known this man was no ordinary opponent.

"Oh? You're Doflamingo?" Kenpachi rested his Zanpakutō on his shoulder, a savage grin spreading across his face. "You can actually withstand my Reiatsu. Not bad… you're different from the usual trash."

"You… you cut through the Birdcage?" Doflamingo's face darkened. He couldn't comprehend how Kenpachi had suddenly appeared inside.

"Don't overestimate yourself," Kenpachi scoffed. "Those threads? I can slice them apart with a casual swing."

As his words fell—

he swung his blade lazily.

The threads, reinforced with Armament Haki—

shattered like paper.

"How is that possible…?!"

Doflamingo stood frozen in disbelief.

For the first time—

his confidence cracked.

"Doflamingo," Kenpachi said, raising his Zanpakutō, his grin turning feral, "Ren Kuro said you'd be worth fighting."

He lifted his blade high.

"Let's have some fun inside this cage."
