For the first time since I became a Good Person of Euphoria, I returned to the 'real life' with more confusion and anxiety than before I logged in. I wasn't able to satisfy the council, and neither was I able to fully understand what they wanted from me. It wasn't because of lack of wanting that I couldn't help them. I wished I could help—whatever it was—but I simply didn't know what I was supposed to now when they left me with "We will talk again when you are ready."
The first person that came to my mind at this point was Karuhi. If anybody could offer any insight, or even just a reasonable guess, at all, it would be her. So for the first time, I decided to message her first, only to realize that I had tons of messages from her already in my inbox.
'Are you okay?'
'What happened?'
'I told you not to stream again.'
'This has gone beyond too far.'
'We need to talk.'
'Right now.'
'Bree?'
I typed on the phone with my one hand while biting the nails of the other hand.
