Hong Fei turned and glanced at Jessica, who was so scared that she immediately lowered her head deeply. Seeing this, Frank stepped out, which was rare: "That person has strong resistance to strikes; not everyone can break through his skin. Her performance just now was not bad, I will be responsible for teaching her in the future."
Frank spoke up; regardless of what Hong Fei wanted to say to Jessica, he had to give him some face at this moment. This had nothing to do with strength, only because the two had been fighting side by side from the very beginning, and there was an absolute trust between Frank and Hong Fei regarding sweeping away evil.
Hong Fei put away his gun and pointed his finger at Jessica in warning, but she was so scared that she backed away repeatedly, hiding behind Frank. "Tie them all up." Big Head: "Boss, what about the one on the wall?" "Ignore it." After turning back, Hong Fei came to Alexandra's side.
This old woman's eyes looked very calm, giving off the feeling of a big shot who is unflappable even if the mountains collapse. However, when Hong Fei reached out and dragged her by her hair, she still couldn't help but scream repeatedly. This scene drew side-glances from Natasha, Coulson, and the others; their impression of Hong Fei deepened once more.
Big Head didn't dare to look back, but he snuck a couple of glances, unable to help but think: Truly ruthless! Frank kicked Big Head on the butt: "What are you looking at? Is there anything good to see?" Big Head hurriedly argued: "I wasn't looking!" "Hmm?" With just one syllable from Frank, he immediately turned around, looking aggrieved. Hong Fei threw Alexandra in front of Bakuto's corpse.
Eye to eye, it took Alexandra a while to recognize who the unrecognizable corpse in front of her was. "You can live, but I need some things in your brain. If you don't give them to me, I will dig your brain out." The person speaking said it lightly, but the person listening was terrified. Seeing her about to open her mouth, Hong Fei added: "No rush, the current time does not belong to you."
Turning around, Frank walked over and said: "The Military is here." A light flashed on Big Head's helmet, immediately projecting a virtual image, which was the scene downstairs. Outside the Rand Building at this moment, the first layer was S.H.I.E.L.D. cars, the second layer was police cars, and the third layer was the armored vehicles the Military had just arrived with.
the heavy machine guns on these vehicles were all aimed at the building, and in some corners, even mortars had been set up. The helicopters in the sky were patrolling a kilometer away, presumably because they knew the capabilities of the Abomination and dared not approach easily. General Ross strode into the S.H.I.E.L.D. command vehicle.
After entering, he not only saw Hill but also a black bald man with a sullen face. "Fury? When did you arrive?" "A minute earlier than you." Closing the vehicle door, the three sat around. Ross: "What's the situation now?" Hill looked at Fury, and seeing him nod, she said: "Our operation this time was originally aimed at the final cleanup of an international criminal organization.
Everything was going very smoothly, and although the other party had set up explosives in the building, we had already found them all and had countermeasures. But then, six people suddenly appeared." At this point, she opened several pictures on the computer; one was Hong Fei and the others flying in the air, and one was the Abomination running and jumping quickly on the roof.
Seeing the Abomination, a look of excitement flashed in Ross's eyes. "Of these six people, the leader is this one." Hill zoomed in on Hong Fei's photo; of course, the photo only showed the nano armor. "The Abomination needs no further mention. Another one is one of the main culprits of the Liberty Island incident.
"The other three haven't shown up yet, and we don't have their identities," Hill reported. "Half a minute ago, our last team lost contact." Ross barely registered the second part, his gaze locked on Hong Fei's nano armor. "So he's the one who took my men," he growled through clenched teeth.
Hill frowned. Fury stepped in. "General Ross, I know some of my people are still alive. We can't go in guns blazing right now." Ross snapped, "Then what? Keep sending teams up there? All five have nano armor, and let's not forget the Abomination."
"We negotiate," Fury said calmly. "They haven't left yet, and they intervened in this mess. That means they want something from us." Ross scowled. "That's not your style. We don't negotiate with criminals."
"I know," Fury replied. "That's why I brought you here." Ross glared. "Stop dancing around it. What are you planning?"
Upstairs, Hong Fei barked an order. "Throw Bakuto's body down. Aim for that car."
"I'll do it! I'll do it!" Big Head eagerly stepped forward, dragging the corpse to the window. He took aim and hurled it. The body crashed onto the concrete ground beside the command vehicle, blood splattering everywhere.
Big Head turned back sheepishly under the stares of his comrades. "My bad."
Inside the command vehicle, the loud crash interrupted Fury's planning. Hill glanced out the window and frowned. "They're throwing bodies."
Fury's brow furrowed. "Like I said before, their only escape route is airborne. We need to monitor the skies carefully. The moment they take off, lock onto them. Once they're clear of the city, fire at will."
Ross snorted. "Relax. My team's been handling this kind of thing for years." As he spoke, a low rumble echoed through the sky. A black dot grew larger, revealing itself as an F-22 fighter jet.
Big Head called out, "Boss, it's an F-22." On the roof, the Abomination locked eyes on the approaching jet. Just as it neared, he hurled his mace. The jet veered sharply, dodging the projectile with ease as it soared overhead. The Abomination roared in frustration, his bellow a clear challenge.
"Boss," Big Head said, "we've got an incoming comm request."
"Patch it through."
The screen flickered to life, revealing Hill. "What do you want? Name your terms."
Big Head stepped in for Hong Fei. "Is this your idea, or Fury's?"
"You seem to know us well," Hill remarked.
"Obviously."
Hill paused. "Can I see the hostages?" She couldn't see Hong Fei's side of things, which prompted the question.
Big Head smirked. "Wrong. There are no hostages here. Just spoils of war."
Hill's eyes narrowed. "Then what exactly are you after?"
"Can you even make that call?" Big Head shot back.
Hill opened her mouth to respond but abruptly stood and stepped aside. Another figure filled the screen. "She can't. What about me?"
As soon as the voice fell, Fury saw the computer screen flicker, revealing a strange nano-armored helmet. "You came quicker than I expected. I thought I'd be waiting a while."
Fury's eyes shifted. "You wanted to talk to me? Speak now."
"How rude. Let's meet in person!" Before the words fully registered, the screen went dark.
Fury leapt to his feet without hesitation. "Move! Now!" he barked.
A thunderous crash shook the air as a hulking metal nano-armor slammed onto the vehicle's roof, crushing it instantly. Fury, Hill, and Ross barely managed to dive out the back door before the wreckage folded in on itself. Two energy whips hissed to life, crackling with lethal power.
Ivan lashed out with the whips, forcing Fury to roll aside in a desperate scramble, dignity be damned. Gunfire erupted from all directions—pistols, submachine guns, even heavy machine guns—hammering Ivan's armor in a relentless barrage. While the armor held, the sheer kinetic force drove him back step by step.
Fury regrouped with Hill and Ross, putting distance between them and the chaos. Jessica and Big Head descended from the building above, unleashing a devastating pulse cannon that obliterated a dozen vehicles in seconds. Ivan's whips snapped through the air like lightning, carving through everything in their path—police cars, armored vehicles, even people—all sliced clean in half.
The trio faced the onslaught head-on, explosions rippling across the battlefield. Within moments, the surrounding area was reduced to rubble. Ivan shouted after Fury's retreating figure, "Nick Fury! You wanted to talk! Why are you running?"
Jessica fired blindly, eyes squeezed shut, while Big Head hovered overhead, shouting with glee. Fury's expression darkened. Ross glanced at him. "Looks like they're not in the mood for conversation. Let's try my plan."
An earth-shaking explosion tore through the street, engulfing Ivan and his companions in a towering inferno. Above, the fighter jet roared back into view, unleashing its Vulcan cannon on the entrance below. The ground erupted in massive craters, spraying debris and mud high into the air. Big Head and Jessica were thrown to the ground, buried in flames alongside Ivan.
The Abomination roared, leaping from the rooftop in a desperate attempt to intercept the jet. He was fast, but not fast enough. The jet banked smoothly out of reach, leaving him to crash into the ground below. Undeterred, he charged into the flames, hauling the three armored figures out one by one.
Upstairs, Coulson remained silent, bound and helpless, his gaze fixed pleadingly on Hong Fei.
Hong Fei smirked. "What? Want me to surrender?" He turned to Luke, who lay barely breathing in a growing pool of blood. Drawing his sword, Hong Fei watched as Luke collapsed into the crimson puddle. He sheathed the blade with a scoff. "F-22? Impressive."
"Frank," he called, "keep an eye on them."
"Where are you going?" Frank asked.
"To swat that plane."
Hong Fei ascended to the rooftop, summoning a tank with a flick of his wrist. He channeled energy into the vehicle, driving it to the window and pressing the barrel against the glass. Through the pane, he could see the fighter jet circling below, unaware of his presence.
As the jet swept back toward the building, Hong Fei activated the Eyes of Death. Guns could aim; thrown weapons could aim—why not artillery? The barrel was just thicker, the shells just bigger.
Therefore, when the fighter jet was still a small black dot in the distance, bright red crosses materialized in Hong Fei's vision. Moments later, the thunderous boom of the tank's cannon echoed for kilometers, announcing the plane's doom.
