Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Cage's Internal Struggle Begins

Xingyi, Drilling Fist. Luke Cage's skin could withstand bullets at close range; his defensive power was truly astonishing. In Xingyi, the spear was discarded for the fist. Hong Fei used Water to break steel, seeking the intent of drilling through. The flow of qi was winding and pervasive, reaching everywhere. Luke Cage's skin was strong enough, but his internal organs were far inferior. Drilling Fist meant bypassing his skin to fire "bullets" directly into his internal organs.

Luke Cage sat on the ground, feeling as if a long spear had been thrust into his chest. A raging Fire had suddenly risen, burning every one of his nerves and every cell, making him suffer unbearably. His black face turned red and hot in the blink of an eye. A breath trapped in his chest, unable to be exhaled, made it look like he was about to suffocate from the pain.

Matt Murdock hurried forward with his cane, one hand pressing and gently massaging his abdomen, while the other hand slowly patted his back.

After repeating this for half a minute, Luke Cage, whose hands and feet were numb and stiff, finally let out a long, stale breath. Afterward, Matt Murdock laid him flat on the ground, letting him breathe greedily and rapidly. His chest heaved rapidly. With every breath, Luke Cage felt as if steel knives were cutting inside his chest. The pain caused his veins to bulge and his eyes to pop out, with roars like a beast echoing in his throat. Hearing the sounds Luke Cage was making, Matt Murdock showed a look of unbearable pity.

"I said it before, I will take both of you on alone."

Hearing this, Matt Murdock immediately frowned, his hand gripping his cane tightening again and again.

Hong Fei shook his hands. "He is in a lot of pain right now; he might even die from the pain later. Are you sure you want to keep pretending?"

Matt Murdock suddenly stood up, flicking his cane back and forth until it became a long staff. He gripped the staff with both hands, stepped forward in a bow stance, and quickly adjusted his breathing to a steady state. Hong Fei stood where he was and beckoned.

The long staff spins, his feet move in succession, and the staff smashes down towards his head. Hong Fei did not dodge or avoid it. Instead, he stepped directly in, using astonishing speed to wedge his shoulder under Matt Murdock's forearm. Feeling the opponent's strength, Hong Fei's shoulder joint was as flexible as a mechanical axle that had just been oiled. As he loosely pushed and pulled with his shoulder joint, Matt Murdock's center of gravity quietly changed direction. With a shake of his shoulder, Matt Murdock immediately stumbled out from Hong Fei's right side. Hong Fei hooked a foot.

Matt Murdock hit the ground hard, flat on his face. His strength came from his superhuman senses. Hong Fei moved little, using his shoulder to deflect the blow. Caught off guard, Matt Murdock looked like a rookie bluffing. Which, in a way, he was.

Hong Fei almost laughed. Then, he saw a card floating up from Matt Murdock's body. He reached out, grabbed it, and glanced at it. Passive Skill Card: Staff Mastery (White).

"You will master the use of any rod-like object." Pfft! Trash!

He put the skill card away. Energy in his body began to climb. Suddenly, he felt full, as if some organ had reached its limit. A strange sensation frantically stimulated his nerves.

Brain: Pee quickly!

Hong Fei: Why?

Brain: Just pee!

Hong Fei: Okay... my ass! I won't!

If not for the mask, Luke Cage and Matt Murdock would have seen his face turn red. His lips were tightly pursed, eyes wide.

The fallen Matt Murdock seemed to have been hit hard. He lay on the ground for a long time, then slowly stood, using his hands and feet. He intended to say something to Hong Fei, but then saw Hong Fei's head hanging down, legs slightly together, fists clenched. Misfortunes never come singly.

Just as Hong Fei struggled with his instincts, a rainbow light lit up the sky. It flew rapidly, from far to near, and in a blink, it arrived ten meters above them, hovering steadily.

"Iron Man?" Matt Murdock was astonished. Inside the armor, the dark sky couldn't block Tony Stark's vision. The world was exceptionally clear, but he paid no attention to Luke Cage on the ground or Matt Murdock standing to the side. He focused all his attention on Hong Fei, especially the Cross-blade on his back.

Tony Stark says excitedly, "Jarvis, it's him, right? And his movements just now, I'm sure it's him!"

"Sir, that's correct, it is indeed him."

Having confirmation from Jarvis, Tony Stark immediately extended both hands. The Pulse Cannons in his palms and chest began to charge. Weapon compartments on his shoulders and arms opened simultaneously. "Kid, listen carefully, you're under arrest! Raise your hands and surrender immediately, or I guarantee I'll blow you into a pile of minced meat!" Hong Fei tremblingly and slowly raised his hands.

Tony Stark was stunned. Had he really surrendered so easily? Could it be a trap?

"Drop your blade," Tony ordered, his voice sharp. "Move slowly. Let me see it clearly, or I'll blow you to hell."

Hong Fei did as he was told, moving with surprising slowness. The Cross-blade clattered to the ground. Tony Stark sighed in relief, aiming his repulsors at Hong Fei and slowly descending. Once his feet touched the ground, he approached Hong Fei steadily, step by step, ready to blast off at the first sign of trouble.

As he got closer, Hong Fei's slight trembling became obvious. "Why do you look so strange?" Tony asked. "You're shaking like you're about to pee yourself."

Hong Fei's face flushed red. He said nothing. Tony didn't press the issue.

Seeing Tony about to grab his hand, Hong Fei immediately gritted his teeth. "Wait."

Tony instantly shoved the palm Pulse Cannon against his mask. Seeing that Hong Fei wasn't pulling any tricks, he relaxed slightly. "Don't try anything funny."

Hong Fei gave a short laugh, his voice trembling. "Can you tell me how you found me?"

He couldn't let Tony touch him now. External stimulation might make him lose control instantly. If that happened, he wouldn't have the face to show himself anymore. He might as well just commit suicide.

"Ha, how clever did you think you were at hiding?" Tony sneered. "Don't think I wouldn't recognize you just because you changed into gray clothes and a Joker mask. I know you appeared in Harlem. You were the one who fired that cannon, right? And it was you in the suburbs, too. That's when I knew you must be in New York!"

Tony gestured to the depths of the alley. "I've already deployed a satellite to monitor New York around the clock, but it's not clear enough and has blind spots. So I manufactured some cameras disguised as bricks and other objects. I'm ready to bring every corner of this city under surveillance. Hell's Kitchen is the first step I just completed. I didn't expect you to suddenly appear."

Hong Fei said, word by word, "You win."

"Heh, kid, complimenting me won't work. I said long ago that I would definitely catch you."

Tony sneers a few times, then looks at Hong Fei's mask, reaching out as he says, "Let me see what kind of face is under your mask..."
