Clouds started gathering in the night sky as rain drops reached the ground
The moment the first drop hit the ground Lin Shen rushed forward and slashed at the heavenly demon
The heavenly demon dodged the attack and counter-attacked with his Blood flames
Red flames filled the night sky
Lin Shen raised Athens and defended himself from the incoming heat before activating the thrusters and pushing against the flames slamming the shield against the Heavenly demon
The Heavenly demon took the full brunt of the blow and got knocked backward
"Not bad for a Soul formation cultivator I shall unleash my full power" the heavenly demon said before unleashing stronger flames but the flames were shaping themselves
Lin Shen realized this was his soul projection but it already too late the soul projection finished materializing as the flames shaped themselves into a blood red dragon
Without warning the dragon charged forward mouth open as it tried to swallow Lin Shen
But Lin Shen held up Athens and was stuck in the dragon's mouth as the dragon projection upward Lin Shen ditched Athens and jumped into the air thrusters activating in the last second and managed to escape from the dragon's mouth
The fight raged on as Lin Shen used carnage to slice through the projection but every time he landed a deep cut flames would erupt from it trying to burn Lin Shen
Lin Shen got onto the projections head and kept stabbing it in the same point but the projection shook him off.
"Chaos Resonance sutra: First cycle resonance surge, Chaos Forged Body Sutra: First Form Iron body, Harmonic Soul Sutra First State: Inner resonance" Lin shouted as he lunged forward raising Carnage
"Your aura... no your dantian why is it unstable a normal cultivator would have collapsed long ago so why are you still standing" the heavenly demon said
"This is nothing," Lin Shen replied as his slashed through the projection the intense heat melted the top half of his armor.
"Looks like I won't be needing this anymore" He said removing the top half of his EXOSUIT and tossing it aside as it exploded
"He lunged forward again and this time the heavenly demon pulled out a blade made purely out of fire.
The two blades collided over and over again
It was not long until Lin Shen realized that he was slowly losing
Then his golden eye started glowing faintly as it activated
The moment the golden eye activated he could see the structure and weak points of everything even the killing intent that was crushing him now revealed a structure
The Heavenly demon swung his sword made from flame Qi as it flared igniting the night sky Lin Shen concentrated Qi into Carnage and lunged forward
The two forces collided mid air but Lin Shen attacked the weak points exploiting even the smallest fluctuation
But another problem arose Lin Shen could attack the weak points yes but his execution of the attacks was not exactly flawless.
He felt that his body was too structured
"I need to be able to redirect attacks more easily, wait why don't I move with the energy rather than against it" Lin Shen thought
So instead of attacking every weak point he started following the Qi Flows with his Golden eye they clashed again and this time Lin Shen slowly and steadily started following the flow
They clashed again this time his Azure eye emitted a faint glow as it activated
Now he could understand the structure whilst following the flow
He started redirecting attacks effortlessly and struck when there was an opening
But the heavenly demon also started adapting he started mixing in feints to force Lin Shen to attack and then he would strike when he was wide open
"I need to able to differentiate between the feints and the actual attacks so I don't get struck" Lin Shen thought
Then the heavenly eye opened
When it did it now allowed him to see a few seconds into the future
He now knew where every attack landed every feint
The Heavenly demon was getting overwhelmed as Lin Shen's Golden eye helped him target every structural weak point, The Azure eye let him see and follow the flow of Qi, While the Heavenly eye let him perceive the future.
"You how are you so strong I have lived a thousand years I have crushed the skulls of many Ascendants my strength alone was what the murim alliance feared" said the heavenly demon
But before he could finish a sword pierced through his chest from behind
"Sorry, but I do not like listening to monologues Lin Shen spoke as Carnage activated its rotating blades ripping through his heart
Lin Shen sliced the blade upward and the Blood demon was dead
"Now that, I've got him out of the way lets deal with the tribulation shall we" said Lin Shen
The clouds gathered, and purple thunder struck Lin Shen.
Lin Shen read the flow and dodged it while analyzing its structure trying to figure out how to stop the tribulation
Two more purple thunder bolts struck this time one was a feint and the other was the actual attack
But Lin Shen used his Azure and Heavenly eye to dodge the attack while the golden eye was taking its time trying to find a weak point
More and more tribulation thunder struck the ground with every passing moment but Lin Shen kept dodging
"Any moment now" he said before another lightning bolt struck he barely dodged that one but then he grinned
He flew upward towards the clouds but the tribulation thunder was attacking as more and more thunderbolts struck at Lin Shen but Lin Shen dodged every bolt right now they were moving so fast that even the leaders of the murim alliance could barely keep up with his movements.
Now it was no longer just one or two bolts of tribulation thunder it was literally raining tribulation thunder.
Finally Lin Shen made it past the clouds coughing up blood
"I cannot maintain the chaos resonance sutra I have been pushing it since earlier" Lin Shen said but he brushed the pain aside and charged forward
The tribulation thunder which struck downward now flowed directly towards him clearing out the clouds around them the people below enemies and allies alike stopped fighting just to watch what was happening in the sky above them.
Massive amounts of lightning and thunder surged towards Lin Shen with the intent to erase his very existence
Lin Shen surged forward no longer dodging instead he took the full brunt of the tribulation head on
He used his Azure eye to redirect the attacks towards the ground as he slashed at the tribulations center
There was a bright burst of Heavenly Qi as Lin Shen fell unconscious and plummeted towards the ground again.
The last thing he remembered was grabbing a small bead and then he remembered hearing ARCHON's voice but he was so tired that he did not hear a single thing
