Dawn broke as the location of the duel was set. All sects were invited to see the geniuses of the Golden Azure sect face off the strongest outer disciple of the Black River sect.
Some thought it was a one-sided match
Others thought it was going to be over in just a few breathes
The duel was held in the largest colosseum of the central planes where the capital city of the murim alliance was located.
Disciples from various sects came to watch
Even the disciples of the information sect who usually closed themselves off from the rest of the world came to attend.
Then the referee spoke
"On the left we have Black River's strongest outer disciple who could even challenge the inner disciples and win"
then the crowd went wild all of them starting applauding
"And on the right corner is the Genius of the Golden Azure sect who bears a tribulation mark and is blessed by the heavens themselves"
The crowd started murmuring among themselves
Then one of the Information sect disciples stated loud enough for the crowd to hear "I heard he is stuck at the core formation realm and has a condition that never lets him advance to a higher realm."
"Disciples please prepare yourselves"
"Coach, are we allowed to use our own equipment" Lin Shen asked
"The rules state that as long as you do not kill you can use anything you want" Replied the referee
"Lin Shen, I will give you one incense stick of time to prepare consider it a mercy" said the black river disciple.
"Can he do that coach" Lin Shen asked
"Yes, as long as both parties agree" replied the coach with a hint of intrigue
"Fine I will take up your offer but I just need 5 minutes"
The Black River disciple scoffed and replied "Agreed"
An incense stick was then set down it was short but it was enough
"In five minutes, this incense stick will burn out when it does, we will start the match." Said the coach.
Lin Shen pulled then pulled out a small device from his sleeves and raised it to the air and pressed the button.
A thin line of light made by Qi shot up into the air.
And then somewhere deep in Lin Shen's cave something activated it glowed faintly before rushing out of the cave and flew towards Lin Shen.
The first two minutes Lin Shen meditated
On the third and fourth minutes he was pacing himself nervously
And on the fifth minute, the incense stick burned out a steel crate dropped from the sky and opened up inside was an Exosuit with a chainsaw sword and a round war shield.

A sword with chains rotating around it each one sharp enough to tear through flesh.
The War Shield Athens
A round shield it has two modes saw mode where the shield releases sharp blades and rotates them at high speeds and can be used for attack and defense mode which is used for defending it can release Qi barriers without command.
The exosuit opened up and synchronized with him
And he took the Athens and Carnage off their placement
The crate closed and returned back to the mountain disappearing into the sky

At that moment the Black River disciple attacked.
But Lin Shin dodged activating the thrusters to move around quickly
And disappeared from in front of him and reappeared behind him.
Slashing him with the Carnage its razor-sharp edges cutting through the flesh on the disciples back leaving his spine exposed.
The disciple faltered from the pain but did not give and pulled out a sword made from 100-year cold iron and lunged forward
he lunged aiming directly at Lin Shen's throat.
Lin Shen did not move, instead He used Athens to block the attack and kicked the disciple back the disciple landed on his feet this time
But before he could counterattack, Lin Shen lunged toward him Carnages blades spinning quickly.
The disciple tried to dodge but it was too late.
Carnage had pierced his shoulder cutting away chunks of flesh. As Athens saw mode activated piercing the disciple's right shoulder
Lin Shen jumped into the air aligning himself with the disciple before activating the thrusters.
His body weight along with the armor's weight forced Carnage and Athens downwards cutting off the arms of the Black River disciple disabling him.
The crowd watched in stunned silence as Lin Shen systematically and brutally cut off The Black River disciple's arms.
He then picked up the sword made of 100-year cold Iron
"This is a nice sword you got here. Too bad you could not use it properly" then he looked at the referee and said "Go on announce the results, He lost both arms with a deep wound on the back and he is still alive but bleeding, if left unattended he will die from blood loss"
The referee stunned said "Lin Shen wins"
But the crowd did not applaud.
"Blasphemy" an old voice shouted "How dare you use unorthodox methods"
"Shut up old man I know what you are trying to do unless you want your disciple to die quickly attend to him first and then you throw what insults you want at me"
Then Lin Shen looked towards his mother "Mother I will see you back at the sect I am heading back first."
Before anyone could speak a shadow not large but also not small appeared in the arena.
Lin Shen activated his thrusters and levitated towards it.
After Lin Shen entered it
It flew towards the direction of the Golden Azure sect with a sound that made people think the sky had cracked leaving behind an unsettled crowd and a crippled disciple.
