Chapter 8 - Great Way Of The Buddha.

Jasmine was completely taken aback by Cang Tian's request. So much so that her face turned slightly red for a second before returning to normal.

"M-master?! I can't do that! I already-"

Initially wanting to reflexively decline, Jasmine once more felt the powerful Yang Profound Strength flowing through her and sighed, eyeing Cang Tian deeply.

'His Profound Veins…I can barely see what type they are from here, but I can tell they're special. Still…are they special enough to be able to cultivate this divine skill?'

With a slight movement, Jasmine retrieved the truth-seeking orb from the Sky Poison Pearl and handed it back to Cang Tian, saying, "Regretfully, I can't be your master, Cang Tian. My techniques can only be passed down to one disciple and Yun Che already fills that role. But…"

Surprised that the truth-seeking orb immediately floated out of her hands to orbit Cang Tian's back without so much as a gesture from him, she continued, "You're a strange one. I can sense a type of divine power in you that I haven't sensed within anyone else in this world. So…I'll hand this skill down to you in hopes that you will not harm yourself in cultivating it. Allow me to impart the skill to you."

Cang Tian was a bit let down by this conclusion, but it was still fruitful. Leaning his body slightly forward, Cang Tian let Jasmine put her finger on his forehead, causing several bits of information to flow into his mind.

"This…"

The art, called the Great Way Of The Buddha, was a Forbidden Divine Profound Art. It once belonged to True God of the Primordial Era called the "Rage God". Cultivating this art could help one reach the legendary "Body Of Saints".

The way that the Great Way of the Buddha is different from usual Profound Arts is that they usually exist in the Profound Veins and were cultivated there, but the Great Way of the Buddha affected your blood, meridians, muscles, skin, and hair and actually had not even the slightest of relationships with Profound Veins or Profound Strength since it relied on the strength of the soul and nature instead. Its cultivation was absolutely not from battle, but from comprehension.

Cang Tian shivered as the potential of this skill started to reveal itself within his mind. With this…how far could he go? Maybe after he completed his revenge against the Xiao Sect and the Imperial Family, he could put all his effort into cultivating to reach the height of his potential. With a skill like this, it would be a waste to not do so.

Saluting Jasmine, Cang Tian looked deeply into her eyes and said, "You have helped me greatly. In the future, if you ever need help, regardless of the danger, you can call on me, provided the reward is great enough…"

"Hmph! Don't push your luck! I won't need help from the likes of you!"

Hearing her annoyed response, Cang Tian chuckled, gave another respectful salute and turned to leave, taking another look at Yun Che as he walked away.

'This guy sure is lucky. It makes me wonder…when I stand against the Imperial Family in the future, what role will he play?'

Cang Tian left the middle of the Scarlet Dragon Mountain, clasped his hands together and summoned a massive bird from the Animal Path Of The Rinnegan.

The bird itself was unusual, as not only did it demonstrate a prominent and jagged yellow-coloured beak, but it also featured three distinct legs as well as wings. It also had one giant black receiver sticking through the right side of its back and another one sticking through the left side of its neck.

To complete its eerie appearance, a Rinnegan was within its eyes.

"Heh. I guess I should start being a bit less cautious with my abilities. My current strength allows it."

Cang Tian hopped onto the back of the bird and beckoned it forward, causing the beast to blast into the air with immense speed, cutting through the air with ease.

Now that it was around noon and the sun was out in full force, Cang Tian found a nearby waterfall to bathe in. After all, it was time for him to leave these mountains.

Landing on the edge of the water, Cang Tian tore of the rest of his ragged clothing and jumped in the water naked, taking a deep breath as the cold water pressed against his body.

Desummoning the bird, Cang Tian leaned against the edge of the river, closed his eyes and started practicing the Great Way Of The Buddha.

Before ten minutes even passed by, the vital energy of heaven and earth surged into every inch of his physique like a massive vortex, refining everything head to toe.

His long black hair got a bit longer, his muscles got noticeably larger, his height slightly increased and even the range of his vision was forcefully increased by several kilometers.

In the center of his forehead, within his mind, was a silver pagoda, slowly rotating. He had already broken through to the first level of the Great Way Of The Buddha. Every inch of his body was born anew.

As the water around him calmed down after the vacuum, Cang Tian took a deep breath and let it out, causing deep ripples in the water several meters away from him.

"Whew…with the breakthrough to the first stage, I gained an additional 1,500kgs of strength. Even I don't know how strong I am now."

Cang Tian wasn't in a hurry to test it out though. He would handle that at his next stop, New Moon City.

Why? His first target of revenge, the Xiao Sect, had a branch sect located within the city, which was where the two cultivators who killed Su Yan was likely from.

It was time for the Xiao Sect to pay.

After taking a bath, Cang Tian jumped out of the river naked, pushed off the water with an extremely weak expulsion of profound energy and clasped both hands together.

'This technique…since I broke into a new layer, I could feel the beast within pushing me to use it. [Creation Of All Things Technique].'

The vital energy of Heaven and Earth surged around Cang Tian, taking shape into clothing that fit the young man perfectly.

A flowing white robe appeared over his body with the insignia of an eye filled with cocentric circles at the back of it, loosely fastened to his waist by a red tasseled belt. Black bandages appeared around his wrists, tightly wrapped and secured up until they reached his elbows.

On his lower half, he wore dark baggy pants and high-top martial art boots.

Lastly, a dark necklace complete with six magatama appeared around his neck, giving him a monk/sage like appearance.

'What a powerful technique. While convenient, who knows how far it can actually go?'

Cang Tian summoned his Giant drill-beaked bird, jumped on its back and pushed the bird to take off, soaring across the sky with incredible speed.

'New Moon City, here I come.'
