Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: The Seal's Loophole

"I can guide you there," Freya said, and the sphere of light dispersed with a wave of her hand.

Then, a staircase of vines, made of pure natural energy, unfolded behind her, leading straight down into the earth.

"Let's go."

They passed through the main structure of Ulduar, guided by Freya, descending all the way down, leaving the symmetrical and geometrically grand main hall, then passing the core of the prison, and finally arriving at the edge of that forgotten passage.

This was the outermost edge of Ulduar's lowest level, a desolate place that had long been out of the Keepers' sight.

It was damp, pitch black, and so quiet it was almost maddening; even the runic light left by the Titans was mottled here.

Freya gazed at the almost imperceptible crack of corruption, silent for a long time.

"...I understand."

She withdrew her gaze, straightened her posture, and her emerald green pupils stared at Ekseltus.

Her expression was no longer gentle, but rather a clear, almost mechanical, calm judgment.

"You have done enough," she said softly, "Maintaining the seals is our duty. It is also the meaning of our existence."

"This place—" She pointed to the crack of corruption, "Please leave it to us."

Ekseltus said nothing, only tilted his head slightly, looking at the continuously writhing shadow remnants.

Freya stepped forward, her palm extending into the air, and a crystal, entirely emerald green and shimmering with the rhythm of life, condensed from her hand and offered it to Ekseltus.

"This is a Life Crystal, in return for your assistance. Additionally, if you have a need, I will answer your call once," she added, her tone devoid of emotion, "as long as it does not violate my principles."

Ekseltus accepted the gem and nodded to her.

"Understood."

"Then, please leave." Freya turned, and a green vortex of teleportation slowly unfolded.

Her attitude was clear: the next steps were the Keepers' responsibility, and this unfamiliar dragon was not needed.

Ekseltus was not angered by this; she was merely upholding her duty.

But he did not intend to give up just yet.

He pretended to leave Ulduar through Freya's teleportation portal.

But after Freya's figure left the area to notify the other Keepers and discuss a solution.

Ekseltus quietly teleported back.

He looked down at the green gem in his hand, then glanced at the unclosed crack of corruption.

"You have your way of handling things, but I have mine."

He opened his mouth and exhaled a five-colored halo, as fine as a hair, instantly isolating all external perception.

Silence fell all around, with only Yogg-Saron's suffocating whispers echoing in his ears.

"If my main body were to come..." Ekseltus narrowed his eyes, the muscles beneath his scales tensing slightly.

He could clearly sense Yogg-Saron's power—very strong, but not invincible.

Even with this avatar, he should have the power to fight.

And if his main body were to go all out, he was confident he could directly crush this Old God.
