Theon kept his promise (which he didn't really have a choice to) and later that evening, after Valeria had hurried upstairs to get ready, he drove her to Azaria's apartment without a single complaint. He had watched the change in his sister throughout the afternoon, and although it wasn't dramatic, it was enough to make him breathe a little easier.
She had smiled more in the last hour than she had in the previous weeks combined, and he wasn't about to ruin that by bringing up Aziel, the Rhodes family or the investigation they had all agreed to begin after the holidays. There would be plenty of time for difficult conversations later. Right now, he wanted her to enjoy herself. She had cried enough, worried enough and blamed herself enough. If seeing Azaria could give her a little peace, then that was exactly what she needed.
