A soothing breeze passed through the car window, slowing rousing Azaria from her slumber. She'd fallen asleep an hour and a half into the drive and wasn't sure how much time had passed. She checked her phone. It was already 10am.
"You're up. We're almost there. Just another turn or two," Theon said and took her hand, holding it on the console.
He took his hand away after a few minutes and made a left turn into gravelled road before slipping his hands with hers again.
"You're not kidnapping me, are you?" Azaria joked with a small laugh. Theon grinned. "We're out of the city and going to a cabin in the woods. That's already suspicious as it is."
"And yet you still came out with me. You must really like your kidnapper." He took his eyes off the road for a moment to send a smirk her way. It was alluring and she felt the urge to lean in and kiss him, but he turned away and looked back to the road all too soon.
