The Golden Goose..
Once there was a poor farmer who had three sons. One day, the eldest son went to the forest to cut wood. His mother gave him good food to take along. On the way, he met an old man.
The old man said,
"My son, I am very hungry. Can you give me some food?"
The boy angrily replied,
"I barely have enough for myself!"
Then he walked away. After a while, while cutting wood, he injured his own leg.
The next day, the second son went. He also refused to give food to the old man, and he too met with an accident.
Finally, the youngest son went to the forest. He had very little food, but he smiled and said,
"Come, let us share what we have."
The old man was pleased and said,
"You are a good boy. Go, you will find a treasure under that tree."
The boy went there and found a golden goose. He brought it back to the village. The goose was so beautiful that everyone gathered to see it.
