⚠️Note: The inspiration for this story comes from NotDariou on wattpad who made a fanfiction about a man that become Tohka. But, here in this Fanfic the reincarnator become Kurumi.
The canon story start is around April 10th, 2011, I guess? I dunno, I just searching the Google and found nothing that mentioning about what year the Date a Live took on. So I just took the year timeline around that year according to the first Date a Live light novel release.
Because Kurumi is mentioning that she become a spirit when she was 17 and Sawa's death is about 20 years ago. The first chapter started when the years is October 21st, 2006. Meaning, the MC took control Kurumi's body when her age is around 32 maybe?
I'm not certain if this Fanfic will become a long chapters or just around ±60 chapter... And it's because just the first time I write this Fanfic after all.
And English isn't my primary language, there would be a grammatical error or some words are using translation.
So yeah! Just read what I just plummering whatever in my mind here. This fanfic was also uploaded first on wattpad.
Lastly, I didn't own Date a Live, everything is own by Kōshi Tachibana and all art here except this fanfiction because I'm bored.

(Somewhere in Tengu city...)
Where the hell am I? Why I only see darkness? I can't feel my leg. First things first before this happened, I was went to sleep after completing my work.
And uhh I'm pretty sure I didn't forgot locked the doors before sleeping and placed a handgun behind my pillow.
So where the freaking hell am I-
"!!!"
Suddenly I felt my body again and reflexively I opened my eyes and what I saw was a cloudy blue sky. It was probably the clearest sky I've ever seen... It feels like going back to 2000s.
But why my body felt lighter? And there's something a bit heavy on my chest? But I need to know where the hell am I.
Waking up from where I was lying, it seemed like I was in a building but this was not the apartment building I lived in.
Approaching the edge, I saw a city that could be said to be big, but for some reason the air felt really cool.
"Where... Am I?" The words were spoken but it wasn't my voice. "Eh? Hello? Is someone there?"
There was no one around me but I realized that the soft voice didn't come from anyone else, but from me.
Confused, I scratched my head and why did my hair feel long and tied up? I noticed something I was wearing on my arms and it looked like arm sleeves? Also my hands look slender with white skin...
Wait a minute, this is a woman's hand!?
Checking my body, I seem to be wearing a crimson and black gothic lolita dress. And most importantly my breasts got bigger!?
Hold on, crimson black Lolita dress... My chest getting bigger... I'm a woman... And that voice...
No way. Nonononononononononononononono freaking way!
I have to make sure one more thing!
Looking around, I found a mirror. Why is there a mirror on the apartment roof? Oh who cares! I immediately headed towards the mirror quickly.
When I saw my reflection.
A girl that has pearly skin and long, black hair tied in uneven twin tails. Her right eye is red-tinted while her left eye appears as a golden, inorganic clock face.

In distance far from apartment.
"WHHAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT!!!???"
That yelling scaring the bird and they flew away~
But it doesn't get noticed by people down in the street nor on the apartement.
[1st POV]
(Few minutes later~~)
Uuuuuu...
"Sniff- I just wanna go to sleep but why am I become Kurumi..."
That's right, now I'm curling on the floor and hugging my leg. A comically tear dripped down from my eye.
Why the hell is this happening? I just wanna sleep and continuing my work for tomorrow... But now I'm here, become Kurumi in probably somewhere in Japan.
Sigh...
Alright! Enough lamenting my fate, now I have to look for information first.
Wiping my eyes, I then got up and got ready to look for information.
... But why does the world seem so grey?
When I looked down all activity seemed to have stopped- no, literally stopped because pedestrians and cars seemed to be frozen.

The door behind me opened and revealing someone.
He's wearing a green jacket with cyan elbow pads, a pair of gloves and a pair of jeans. He wear a rat mask so I didn't know what he looked like.
"Ah, there you are! I was wondering if you would be made here." He said but his voice was mumbling because it was covered by the mask.
"W... Who are you?" I said to the mysterious person.
"Ah, don't think about me," He said while scratching his head. "I'm here to say a few things, Tokisaki Kurumi. Or more precisely, Gala Riski."
What? How does he know my name!?
"Okay enough chit chat, the name is Mono, and yep I'm the one that reincarnated you turn you into Kurumi."
"Oh, so you're the one who made me into Kurumi!" I said while pointing my finger at him. "I want to return to my body right now!"
"Can't."
"Huh?"
"You're dead already in the previous world."
"HUH?!" I'm dead?! But how can that be! "What do you mean I'm dead?!"
He scratched his butt first, gross. "I can't tell you why you died. But the important thing is that you're alive again, right?"
Ugh- he doesn't want to tell me why I died. It's okay to live again, but why be Kurumi?
"Sigh- never mind, who cares," I said with a defeated expression. "But why does it have to be Kurumi?"
"Well... actually I was bored but last night you died in your apartment because... but never mind, it's not important."
He just said my death was something unimportant? Damn this guy.
"When you died, I was like, 'Oh, I can do that to him' so I put your soul here :p"
...it seems like I've become an experiment for this person.
But wait, if I'm Kurumi, does that mean I'm in the Date a Live anime world?
"Then I'm in the Date a Live anime world, right? Where the main character has to seal a Spirit, including me?" I asked him in a curious tone.
"That's right, you're in the world you mentioned." He said in a slightly serious tone. "But you're 5 years before the canon story begins. So you can adjust yourself first and recognize your abilities in this world."
That makes sense. If I were here when the canon story started, I wouldn't know what was happening, how to use my abilities, and I would be completely panicked.
It's like you're thrown into the middle of a war without knowing anything about how to use weapons, who your comrades are, and what your superiors are ordering you to do.
"Okay! That's all I want to tell you." Then he took a paper from his jacket pocket. "This paper only contains notes about Kurumi's abilities in case you forgot."
All of Kurumi's abilities huh... I think this is important, because even though I've watched the fifth season, I've already forgotten about the previous seasons even though it was a year before I watched the fifth season.
Sigh
"Whatever, I accept my fate."
"Good! Now before I go" He snapped his fingers and the world returned to normal. "If so, I'll excuse myself."
He then left through the apartment roof door leaving me alone on the roof.
I turned around and looked up at the sky.
Back to life huh...
Now that I'm Kurumi, I should probably get used to this body first.

The roof door opened again but it was him who appeared again.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot that I will double your feelings for Shido in this world." Then he left again...

My feeling for Shido...

I felt my face turning red.
Does that mean I'll fall even more in love and more embarrassed when I meet Shido!?
I ran to the door and opened it roughly.

I just remembered the paper that Mono gave me, maybe it has the ability to manipulate clothes?
I took the paper from my pocket and then looked for what I was aiming for and ignored the others.
And I found it in the last two abilities.

And how to use it... Just think about what you want to wear and shing! the clothes are ready to wear.
Okay, then I'll think about what's suitable for now.
After a moment, I immediately agreed to what I was wearing. Then a light surrounded my body. My previous gothic lolita outfit had changed into A black short-sleeved t-shirt. The front features a graphic print consisting of two crossed flintlock pistols positioned over a clock face, with the word "Nightmare" in a stylized font. And a blue pleated thigh length skirt. The fabric appears to have a textured or subtle horizontal striped pattern. I also wear flatshoes on my feet. My hair was loose because the hair tie vanished. Then I created two hair ties and tied my hair into twin tails. Like in the anime when Kurumi is not in Spirit mode.
I went back to the mirror and started to assess my appearance. And also a little posing.
It seems like a good fit, though, since I don't understand fashion lmao. But the important thing is that it doesn't stand out too much in people's eyes.
"Okay." I turned and looked back at the city. "My new life starts now!"
