~Gianna's POV
Matteo listened quietly, his expression calm but serious in a way that told me he understood what I was trying to say, even the parts I could not fully explain.
"She will," he said after a moment.
I searched his face, like I needed to see if he really believed that.
"You think so?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Yes," he replied. "It will not happen overnight, and it will not be easy, but she is not alone in it."
I held onto that, even if it felt fragile.
"And Salvatore?" I asked quietly.
Matteo let out a small breath.
"He is not the same man anymore," he said. "Not when it comes to her."
I knew that already because I had seen it. But hearing it still did something to me.
"I just hope it is enough," I said.
He stopped walking for a second, making me stop with him, and then he looked at me properly.
"They will find a way," he said, his voice firm this time. "Both of them."
