I turned immediately.
And for a second, I just stared at her because she looked… stunning.
Her dress hugged her body perfectly, soft but bold at the same time, and the color made her skin glow in a way that was hard to ignore. Her hair fell neatly behind her shoulders, and her makeup was just enough to highlight her features without taking anything away from her natural beauty.
"You look beautiful," I said honestly, my eyes still on her.
She smiled wide, clearly pleased.
"Thank you," she replied, turning slightly like she wanted me to see everything properly. "I did all this for Matteo."
I laughed softly.
"That much is obvious," I said.
She rolled her eyes playfully.
"Do not act like you are not doing the same thing," she teased.
I shook my head quickly, even though I could feel my cheeks warming slightly.
