Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Monday Energy 2

Chapter 2: The Monday Energy

So, boom. I wake up on the ground again. Still in a forest. Big update, though: NOW IT'S DARK.

Because yeah, that helps, I think sarcastically, my justified frustration finally boiling over.

"Like, come on. This is clearly Monday energy. Everyone hates Mondays for a reason," I scoff to the empty woods, slowly getting my act together and brushing the damp dirt off my clothes.

In the midst of my small tantrum, the knowledge the universe had just forcefully downloaded into my skull surfaces again, resting in the back of my mind like it had always been there. I take a breath, center myself, and open my mouth to utter the greatest word ever spoken by a nerd.

"Status."

With a soft, melodic chime, a translucent blue screen projects itself into the darkness right in front of my eyes, casting a faint, holographic glow across the surrounding trees.

[Name]: Nero Argentum

[Level]: 1

[Class]: Unassigned

[HP]: 100 / 100

[Mana]: 850 / 850

[Attributes]:

Strength: 10

Agility: 12

Vitality: 15

Intelligence: 45

[Talents]:

Imagination Manifestation: Direct conversion of mana into physical material. Permits the refinement of alloys and materials, and the generation of Soul-Steel—a unique magical metal created through the synthesis of personal mana and soul energy.

Animus Resonance: The innate ability to forge a living "core" within inorganic structures. By imprinting a fraction of his own mana signature, the user breathes true, autonomous life into stone and metal. Constructs linked to the user's resonance share a telepathic bond, sensory feedback, and evolve alongside the creator.

Tempest's Requiem: The user doesn't just wield the storm; they are the storm. Permits the concentration of a storm's power into a single point, summoning localized squalls, and generating sapphire lightning. These strikes ignore all magical resistances.

[Skills]:

Righteous Fury (Rank: S): Ultimate. The sky turns pitch black instantly, and the user's hair and eyes become pure, crackling plasma. Every heartbeat triggers an atmospheric thunderclap that stuns enemies.

Thunder Surge (Rank: S): Internal elemental ignition. Generates highly volatile, sapphire-class electrical magic. Can be channeled through weapons or constructs, or expelled as destructive arcs.

Golemancy (Rank: S): The magical art of animating inorganic matter. Powered by Animus Resonance, this is the absolute pinnacle of earth and ore manipulation. Allows the user to shape, animate, and command constructs that level up and grow based on shared combat experience.

[Titles]:

Unbound One: Free from the world's pre-written fate. Walk your path unbound.

Gemini Soul (Unique): A soul forged from the seamless fusion of two distinct lifetimes. Your foundational limits, mana capacity, and cognitive processing are permanently doubled. You possess the combined potential of two existences bound into a single vessel.

He Who Walked With Death: You met your premature end and shook hands with the reaper. Grants high resistance to fear, absolute immunity to mental magic and status effects, and ensures a preternaturally calm and cool-headed state under extreme pressure.

I stare at the glowing blue text. I honestly don't know how to feel.

My engineering brain immediately starts doing the math. I look at my physical stats—Strength 10, Agility 12. That feels like a standard, baseline human average. But then I look at the 45 Intelligence and the massive 850 Mana pool, and my eyes snag on the Gemini Soul title.

Doubled capacity. Combined potential. It hits me. The cosmic slot machine didn't just give me magic; it literally duct-taped the processing power and battery life of two complete human souls together and shoved them into my chest. I'm essentially running on a dual-core processor while everyone else in this world is walking around with a single core.

And as for He Who Walked With Death... well, that explains why I haven't curled up into a fetal position yet. The system is literally force-regulating my panic response.

Like, okay, yeah, I seem fine on the outside, but I am pretty sure that's just the magical shock absorbers doing their job. I look back up at the top line. Nero Argentum. First off, he just went ahead and changed my entire identity without asking? That's crazy. How does a god even have the jurisdiction to do a legal name change?

I take another look around the pitch-black, silent timberline, illuminated only by the light of my own overpowered stats. I'm in a dark forest. I'm completely alone. I'm lost. And by technicality, I am a kidnap victim.

I definitely need an adult.
