Elara followed Kira's gaze. A patch of grass was flickering, turning from soft silver to a jagged, pixelated gray. It was a localized glitch—but not the kind Caelum created. This was a parasitic error.
"It's a remnant of the Oversight," Elara whispered, her staff glowing in warning. "It hid inside the reboot."

Caelum was no longer a man standing on a battlefield; he was the battlefield. A massive spectral hand, made of the same silver light as the sky, reached down from the clouds and crushed the Hijacked Player into dust instantly.
