Chapter 127 - [End of Volume one] — Author's Note

It all started on April 2, 2026, with a simple idea: Can a monster change its nature?

I was on the street talking to my mother. At first, we talked about how André Ventura's [a Portuguese politician] politics were utter crap that would lead the country to the end of the world, both commercially and racially. Then, in a very strange way, the conversation converged on something very different—my mother said that bad people don't have the chance to achieve blessed redemption, or, in simpler words, positive change. She wanted to know my opinion, and I didn't have one at the time.

And that's how this brilliant idea came about. I'm going to write a saga of books and translate them into English, all to discover my answer. And I still don't have it, and I highly doubt I will in the coming years.

I watch many films and games that masterfully touch on the word redemption, and I feel, out of nowhere, inspired by them. I feel that evil people really can change, even though I know that maybe it's not as true as I wish. But I try to believe it is. But then, when I see crap like "A father rapes his daughter in front of his son and then kills her" or "A prisoner starts killing children again after being released from prison," I feel like maybe I'm just a fool living in a fantasy.

So, tell me, dear Goblin readers, can a Monster change its nature?

Anyway, I'd like to, but I don't need your answer right now. I simply want you to know that I'm going to prepare the next volume, and for that, I need a week or two of planning.

Bye... for now
