"They're just leaving?"
Darcy watched Fenris and Thor leave one after the other, going their separate ways, and anxiously nudged Jane. "Jane, should we follow them?"
"Well…"
Jane lifted her binoculars and first looked toward the luxurious heavy-duty truck parked by the roadside.
Beside the tall vehicle, a man and a woman were leaning against it. Even from such a great distance, the instant she looked at them, their gazes swept toward her in the next moment.
The man's gaze was cold, as though some terrifying beast were lurking inside his body. The woman's eyes were much gentler. When she saw Fenris and Wanda approaching, she first gave them a soft smile. Then, in the next moment, she actually raised a hand and pointed toward Jane and the others from afar, saying something Jane could not hear.
That sorcerer immediately turned his head as well. He had clearly seen her. After lightly waving, the group turned and got into the truck. With a thunderous roar from the engine, they soon vanished into the night.
"How could that sorcerer possibly be some evil god? He obviously looks like a good person."
The sorcerer's smile carried a warm, infectious quality, calming Jane's previously restless heart. Her eyes shifted slightly, and she said, "We'll follow that sorcerer—"
"That woman just asked whether they should erase our memories…"
Darcy lowered the binoculars hanging from her neck and spoke faintly. "Are you sure we should follow them?"
Jane turned to her in shock. "How do you know?"
"I'm a political science PhD. It's not that strange for me to understand lip-reading, is it?"
"Say no more. We're going to find Thor!"
Jane gulped, quickly packed up the detection equipment scattered across the ground, and muttered, "No wonder he's a sorcerer…"
"Get in!"
…
Inside the truck.
"That's more or less what happened."
Fenris briefly explained everything that had just occurred.
The inside of the vehicle instantly fell silent.
Emma blinked, looking utterly incredulous. "So the problem that was troubling you was solved by the All-Father just like that?"
"I wouldn't exactly say solved."
Fenris thought for a moment. "It's more that I don't have that concern for now. But if I want to keep growing stronger, sooner or later, I'll still have to face the problem myself."
"After all, these dimensional powers are not inferior to divine power…"
Fenris carefully sensed his condition. Apart from the Black Panther's divine power, which had already been completely absorbed by Mothra, there was also Odin's power, which was still continuously strengthening Mothra. To be precise, it had become Fenris's own unique Aesir divine power.
Adding those two dangerous and powerful dimensional forces on top of that, the inside of his body had practically become a divine-power stew.
If not for the Titan Bestiary and the G-cells he had tempered within himself, such a situation would have torn anyone else to pieces with the chaotic, violent energies alone.
Among the three Titan powers he had already mastered, only Kong's power was pure enough, containing no foreign power at all. It relied solely on that almost unreasonable, brutally powerful physical body.
Together with the indestructible vibranium battle-axe and his massive size, the power he could unleash was equally exaggerated.
"The increase in the Titans' power can feed back into me, and the Titans' might also rises as I grow stronger."
"With that constant mutual feedback, after receiving Odin's blessing, my physical attributes have become several times stronger at the very least. I wonder what that will turn Kong, who already specializes in brute physical strength, into…"
"He's probably almost a hundred meters tall by now, close to a true Titan beast, right?"
Although Mothra stood less than ten meters tall when upright, her wingspan had already reached an exaggerated seventy meters. Her fully spread size was terrifying. After this evolution, Kong's size was probably only greater than hers, not lesser.
Fenris lightly toyed with the exquisite little axe in his hand, its faint blue glow flickering in and out. When he thought of his first transformation into Godzilla, back when he had only been a little over two meters tall, the corners of his mouth could not help curving upward.
"Fenris, are we still looking for that Spirit of Vengeance?"
Seeing Fenris smiling to himself, Wanda could not help asking.
The moment she finished speaking, everyone's eyes fell on Fenris.
"We are!"
Fenris answered without the slightest hesitation, his tone firm and decisive. "I didn't expect to gain such a huge benefit from the god-king either, but the Spirit of Vengeance is also said to be a masterpiece created by God. Naturally, I can't let it go so easily."
"As for you, since things aren't so urgent anymore, stop keeping your eyes glued to the Spirit of Vengeance inside Johnny."
Fenris reached out and lightly flicked Wanda on the forehead. "He's a good man, not the vicious Ghost Rider the Ancient One described."
Wanda rolled her eyes in frustration. "I know…"
Amid a burst of laughter, Puente Antiguo finally appeared ahead. After finding a comfortable place to stay and washing up, Master Fenris, who had been busy the whole day, finally let out a long breath and heavily threw himself onto the soft bed.
"I really worked myself hard today~"
He casually took out an Arc Reactor and stuck it to his forehead. Just as Fenris closed his eyes, preparing to enjoy a beautiful sleep, the phone beside him suddenly rang.
"Incoming call from Tony Stark."
A grinning face with bared teeth appeared on the transparent screen. After catching sight of that unserious face from the corner of his eye, Fenris rolled his eyes, shut off his hearing, and had no intention of answering at all.
Yet in the next moment, the call connected automatically.
"Fenris, pretending you can't hear me on purpose, are you?"
A faint projection light shot out, and Tony appeared in front of Fenris, wearing a sloppy set of pajamas and lying in his lab with sleepy eyes.
Looking at Fenris huddled in the blanket with a face full of impatience, Tony grinned. "You promised you'd come serve me in bed tonight. Why did you stand me up?"
"I'm tired."
Fenris rolled his eyes, not particularly wanting to deal with this greasy pervert who was still bombing people with phone calls when dawn was almost here. "If you keep calling me at this hour, I'm going to have Titan block your signal."
"Hey, no, no, no."
"My bad, my bad."
Tony's bared teeth instantly retracted, but he was still smiling as he tapped away on the keyboard. Very soon, a video was sent to Fenris. "Stark's energy-detection satellite suddenly sounded an alarm just now. It detected several powerful energy reactions erupting one after another in New Mexico."
"And once I remembered you were in that area recently, I had to ask. Be honest. Was that huge commotion your doing?"
Seeing Tony's eyes widen expectantly, his face filled with thirst for knowledge, Fenris curled his lip in amusement. "What if it was? What if it wasn't?"
"Fenris, this is a matter of great importance. I hope our positions on this issue can remain aligned."
The projection before him shifted. In the next moment, a dark-skinned head appeared in front of Fenris instead.
The newcomer coughed lightly, then showed Fenris a neat row of white teeth. "Fenris, long time no see."
